They got every burger wrong. Annoying but nowhere near what came next.
When I took the meal back, I spoke to the lady who said she was the manager. I told her I was disappointed that not a single item was made correctly.
She tried to blame me for reading the order wrong. Three times. For three separate burgers. She then used the words, âwell itâs not our fault. You should have the read it more carefully.â
I have difficulty with my eyes and this health issue is not something I wish to discuss with your staff. The massive glasses I wear however, are a giveaway.
She then accused me of eating the chips because Iâd left the carton in the car. She then told me it didnât matter that I had to come back because I live relatively close to the McDonaldâs. Apparently distance meant that I wasnât inconvenienced and also stopped me having a hungry child wanting his weekly take away. Even at eight years old he said he isnât going back đ
I used to work at McDonaldâs twenty years ago and if an employee ever spoke to a customer like that they would have been sacked in the spot. Customer service should never be about assigning blame but appeasement. We used to joke that remaking a Big Mac meal in its entirety costs 10p. Why lose a customer for 10p?
The manager here seems to think that the customers are part of her team and that she can speak to them as such. The sad truth is that this was a simple oversight that did not need to escalate. Unfortunately the manager here did so.
As an aside she also had three customers waiting longer than all of my stuff took to get sorted including a refry of my meal. One of them said to me., you think you got it bad Iâve been waiting 10 minutes for a cheeseburger. It is well known in the local area that if you want your food to come in a timely fashion you must use the drive through. Just a poor excuse for a McDonaldâs thatâs getting worse with a very clear reason.
If thatâs the example the manager sets the rest of the team...
Read moreCalled in on my way home from work, went to the drive through and was greeted with "take your order" no please or thankyou placed my order big mac meal and 6 chicken nuggets please ,drive to next window said the very pleasant and jovial young man,( I'm being sarcastic) I drove round and there he was Mr happy £7.49 he said again no please or thankyou, so I paid drove to next window and was given my food and drink, now fortunately I checked the bag and low and behold no chicken nuggets!! So I parked up and went inside, now no one was on the counter and only a couple of people sat inside, so I'm stood with my bag and waited till one of your colleagues approached, is there something wrong, well yes I said, I paid for bigmac meal and 6 chicken nuggets, he looked in the bag and I was right there wasn't any he looked under the burger and checked the creases to see if they where hiding and he agreed said sorry about that folded the bag back over and passed it back, as I stood there a little perplexed he then asked if there was something else, well yes I said usually where I come from when you order it and pay for it, it would be nice to receive it, he frowned shrugged turned around and said oh yes they're here on the shelf, again said sorry passed them over and off I went. Now I don't usually complain but I can't stand ignorant staff who are customer facing, they're paid to do a job and quite frankly don't do it very well, so overall I feel sorry for the management of your establishment as they obviously don't get the support or training they need to operate at a consistent level of good customer satisfaction. Here's hoping you can rectify this as I no doubt will be calling again, as the food was hot and tasty but let's hope a little bit of customer service is...
Read moreNever usually have a problem with this restaurant, used them for years after many late night finishes but today was ridiculous.
Went through the drive through, end up pulling into the outer of the 2 lanes they have and sat here waiting to order. Was sat here for around 10 minutes with nothing coming through the tannoy to make my order whilst the other lane 6 cars had made their orders and moved round to the other side to collect their food.
Assume it must be broken which is fair enough these things happen so reversed out of this lane and move over to the other one behind another car that was behind me in the queue and had done the same. Whilst then waiting in the other lane another car pulls round and into my initial lane. Someone spoke to them straight away and order was made with no issues? How can you have a customer sat there for 10 minutes with no communication then for someone to drive straight into the empty lane that Iâve now vacated to then be served straight away and still ended up ahead of me in the queue?
Then to top it all off I then get round to collect my food to then be told go park up and wait for your food theyâll bring it out to me. Have now been sat for another 10/15 minutes waiting for the food to come out to me, which is cold!
Cheers McDonaldâs, kids crying now, absolute shambles of a...
