This old world style good beer guide listed real ale pub is well worth a visit when in Bacup Aboy 8 minuites up the hill by from the town centre it is also only 5 minuites from the local cricket ground which is handy The beers are usually of localised origins, and they have an ever changing range of good real ales on offer Sunday 30th June 2024 Today, I again came to this real ale pub This pub has gotten better in ways since my last visit that I have now updated the stars rating To 5 stars. The real ales on off/3 hand pumped of locally brewed ales/ are superb. Today, there was a celebration on,and the pub inside and outside was packed. The staff knew what they was doing,the atmosphere was good and there was a lic Very singer on Well done all involved...

Great pub, like stepping back in time, real ale, real food, real prices and nice open fire to boot, what more could you want. Oh and friendly staff as well. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: Jan 25. Not as good as it once was and changed rating from 5 stars to 3. Called in several times recently only to find they are closing. Do not go off the times on the website- they just close early if they feel like...

This is a friendly pub with a decent selection of beer, including 3 hand pulled ales as well as two bitters (there's also a decent range of lagers and spirits if that's your thing). They also have a range of freshly made baps with a variety of fillings but I haven't...
