Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

I like this convienient little Costa. The service is always fast and friendly, despite being quite busy at random times of the day as it's a great little service stop. It's a shame Starbucks opened across the road, but if you want a cheaper and nicer customer service experience I would always pick Costa. Better coffee too! I had a meal deal today which despite the lack of sandwich/salad choice, is well worth the £4.95. It includes a coffee or bottle of drink, and crisps and fruit as well as panini or toasted sandwich.

My one gripe about this place is the lack of nice seating. Inside is standard Costa layout, but there are doors at the back which lead to a very overgrown and brambly area. If this was cut back, there could be a lovely outside space which, although near the dual carriageway, would also look out on to the fields and could be a welcome break for long haul drivers. It would also rival the Starbucks over the road which doesn't appear to have any outdoor seating. Regardless, there are a couple of small tables and chairs out the front overlooking the car park, and if you really can't find the sandwich you are after, there is a convieniently placed Subway right next door, as well as the petrol station so you can fill up completely before you go...

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, I HAD JUST BEEN THERE 1 HOUR BACK, WE HAD ENTERED COSTA BEFORE THE CLOSING TIME AND MY WIFE WAS WAITING IN LINE TO USE THE TOILET. ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBER JUST APPROACHED HER AND RUDELY TOLD HER THAT SHE NEEDS TO LEAVE.MY WIFE SAID TO HER THAT SHE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR NEARLY 10 MIN, THE STAFF AGAIN SPOKE RUDELY AND SAID TO HER I DONT CARE, I THEN ASKED THE GIRL FOR HER NAME AND SHE REFUSE TO GIVE. SHE HAD A VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND DIDNT CARE AT ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.WHEN I LEFT THE SHOP ANITHER FAMILY APPROACHED ME AND SAID THAT THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS WELL. CAN THE MANAGEMENT OF COSTA LOOK INTO THIS. APPERENTLY THIS IS A ONGOING ISSUE...

One star is to much for this Branch of Costa On my first ever visit it was Dirty inside with dust and food on the floor away from the counter and this was at 0900 in the Morning the car Park was ! Well bins full over flowing with rubbish all over the car park , Costa cups and tissues I have to say having a Subway next Door contributes to the state of the place but never the less the pair of them should be ashamed of the state of their premises there is no excuse for it. Well there is having two people at very busy times don’t help So come on Costa get in and sort before my next trip, and I Don’t want your £4 free gift just clean up your act....
