Chose this while waiting for our birds of prey encounter experience at Joe's bows as it had good reviews and only a few minutes away, came in for a drink and a quick lunch, ordered 2 pretty simple drinks had to wait a moment for the lady to finish doing something behind the bar it was pretty empty at this point, unfortunately she got both the drinks wrong we asked for ice in one and she decided because she couldn't remember which she didn't bother putting in any and didn't even offer to correct the mistake and the other she used soda water instead of lemonade, we ordered prawn cocktail baguettes each which came with chips which unfortunately several were burnt and were very disappointed these did not come with any salad for £8.50 each I was expecting much more, I don't think I have ever been charged more than £1 for a small glass of blackcurrant and soda before £2.50 here...

We visited on a hot July Thursday afternoon. Found the bar staff to be very attentive, the pub was reasonably busy for what was likely a quiet period, mostly seemed to be a post work (more likely finished early!) crowd having a couple before heading home. Although the inside of the pub was inviting we decided to head to the garden. This was a lovely space, with a variety of covered and uncovered seating options - we took a table with the shade provided by a tree, which was lovely. There was a good selection of beers , cask and keg, as well as ciders. The food looked interesting so have included a picture of the menu, it’s got a reasonable sized car park and is open all day. It’s a lovely old building with an interior to match and certainly looks like it would offer a cosy winter pint. We will return to try the food in the near future and would certainly...

I visited the Red Lion with my partner and parents to help celebrate their wedding anniversary with a Sunday pub lunch. The sun was shining and the pub have set up a nice gazebo style tent up in their garden to accommodate outdoor dining. The staff were impeccable, very friendly and very attentive - always there if we needed them, they were also very accommodating. The menu was limited but what was available seemed very good. My parents and partner went with a roast and I went with a burger. They were all extremely happy with their food, in fact they would give it a rave review. However, my burger was extremely disappointing (hence the 3 star review) on arrival, the bun was burnt, there were very few chips and the burger was fairly undercooked. I would certainly recommend the Red Lion, but it was a real shame they couldn’t get my...

This is a great little pub that dates back to 1364AD. We went there early in the week during the day and it was surprisingly bustling. Very medieval inside....just the building not the staff or clientele.... and on the mantel place over the welcoming fire was a undisturbed candle wax which must go back some years. You will also notice the grill on the medieval door both have weathered time well. The Red Lion sits on the corner of the green opposite the church which has a wooden monument dedicated to what is purported as the last armed uprising on British soil. It was a very sunny early spring day which makes everything look better. If you like history and countryside pay a visit.....the pub serves good food as-well!

We discovered the pub from a recommendation while staying in Faversham and must say, could not be a better recommendation. The pub looks like a time portal to a few centuries ago in a great location with an amazing preserved building (of course adapted with modern technology). Great look isn't it all as the team there were great, welcomed us as we entered, knowledgeable service and fantastic food. Walking or riding, this pub is a must visit.
