Booked a table for 7:30 13/8/24 just the two of us. Our usual restaurant was closed so we took a chance. Ordered a starter each Papodoms and a Mixed Kebab. When we were taken to the table the Papodom was there the mixed kebab was not. I asked where my starter was, and the response was ‘Papodom'. I had to explain that was my partners starter so where was mine? By the time it arrived she had already eaten so, not off to a good start. When the starter plates were cleared my partner mentioned that her napkin was frayed, and it looked like an old rag. Server looked at it for a while before eventually bringing a fresh one. We were seated in the Conservatory and there were other groups there. As it was so quiet (so we were all put into one section) we could hear everyone’s conversations so not really accommodating for a couple looking for a quiet evening. The mains were delivered to the table. Again, mine was not out at the same time. The waiter said mine was coming but I could not tell whether that was an attempt to manage my expectations or to shut me up before I said anything. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was the former. A larger group arrived so that only added to the noise. The food was amazing. If the servers and the atmosphere were like the people who cooked the food, I would have been incredibly pleased. No one asked if the food was ok nothing else was offered just here is the food. McDonalds provide a better table service. When it came time to pay, I mentioned that I had a ‘Tastecard’ for a discount. Another disappointment as I was told that they do not accept that anymore and that they had told ‘Tastecard,’ but their details were not removed from the promotion. Did not really see how that was my problem, but I asked for them to just provide the bill regardless. When I paid, I was asked was everything ok (bit late and did they mean aside from the napkin and service, who knows) I thought about the food and said ‘Yes’ because that was amazing. No desire to complain or say anything because I only complain when I want something to improve on my return and I do not have any intention of going back. Response to Owners offer of free taster menu: I can't be bought. Your teams treatment of me cannot be forgiven. It was not a single incident or moment. One server annoyed me so much that I decided to write this review about my experience. You say, “We are not sure what happened on this occasion” Let me be clear: 1. Staff attitude 2. Atmosphere. Everyone bundled into one part of the restaurant regardless of size or group dynamic. No background music so all we could hear was everyone else talking. 3. Frayed and torn napkin on the table. 4. Food not served in a timely manner. 5. Staff who challenge when something is mentioned. The server who made me angry was verging on aggression towards me. None of these points are mistakes but deliberate actions. If you don’t know what happened, perhaps you should be more present to make sure standards are met. You offer a free taster menu to change my mind, but I didn’t have any issue with the food. It was the fundamental lack of respect and atmosphere. Your response does not have any word of apology to it. So, I don’t feel you think you have anything to apologise for. You do appear to think you can buy me off and shut me up. My principles are not for sale and my review remains an honest representation of my experience for all who choose to see. The restaurants I go back to don't have these issues and the staff are intuitive enough to resolve things at the time without challenging paying customers.

Came here last night as a couple for a nice meal without the kids. On entry through the doors we was welcomed by a smiling face, and asked for a table for 2. They told us to wait and take a seat, we were served drinks to look at the menu, which we were not rushed and enjoyed the chill and atmosphere. The friendly manager took our order, and as I chose my dish tikka masala medium, he requested another alternative a tandoori chicken one off the bone for more flavour than the traditional, which was a surprise and he knew what he was talking about. We went to our table which was warm and cosy with our popadoms waiting. They did not rush our starter or main course, on eating our main course the manager came over to ask if the dish he chose was okay. Which was very thoughtful of him. Staff was always on there to help, and was talking to other customers to make them feel welcome. My husband’s curry was the best he has had veg vindaloo with lots of flavour and a good kick of spice. Overall this is the best curry house we have been to, and we go to a lot. Well worth the drive you won’t be disappointed, and the price is right for the amount of food we had and drinks. We’ve booked for Christmas as a family of 6, and can’t wait to be going back again. Thank you to all the staff. 10 stars

Went for Christmas Day lunch with 4 family members. On arrival our pre booking order had been lost. As a result our food was served later than expected. In total the meal was for 5 courses, champagne sorbet, starter, main, dessert and coffee. All were very good. Food especially was to a very good standard. Table settings were every 2 hours. This ran over due to the number of tables booked on the day and the number of people being catered for. Some of the staff had been drafted in for the day from elsewhere. Bar staff in particular weren't experienced but did try their best. The atmosphere felt somewhat tense due to the level of chaos, although the head waiter did work hard to keep order and was very friendly. We had to request our dessert and coffee, which was not served and had gone unnoticed. Would have been nice for Christmas music in the background as it lacked festive atmosphere. That said, we will be booking for next year as the food was so impressive and the main reason for going to this restaurant! ...and for the price (£28.95) it was very reasonable.

Ordered for collection & the food was excellent!

-Garlic Tandoori King prawns 7/10 would have liked 1 or 2 more a little chewy but flavour perfect

-Meat samosas 7/10 not much wrong with them just feel there are a lot of outstanding samosas available in the food world that trump these

-Lamb tikka karahi 9/10 extra oniony, perfect flavour, perfect with chips & pilau rice together…melt in your mouth business!

-Garlic naan 10/10 what more could you want from a naan seriously

-Onion bhajis 10/10 perfect crisp with a lovely bite & size to them, sinks your teeth into just the right amount of moisture & softness even my daughter was impressed (she’s 7 and hates onions)

Overall it was bangin & I’m here to rate the food not the service.

When I say ‘service’ the people where really nice and polite the only issue was the wait.

Ordered on Foodhub at 7:03 and it told me 46mins I arrived on time to collect my order, I can’t shake the feeling I was forgotten about and they only started cooking it 10-15 min after my arrival. Not much interaction to let me know what was going on as I sat reading the curry times magazine x 4. Eventually was offered a free drink and an apology. 87 mins after ordering my food came and my hanger melted away like candy floss. Took it home and was delighted. The food was inhaled and nicely washed down with the free beer

Nobody wants to feel forgotten about, but it is what it is, we’re human & these things happen..the food certainly made up for it & I would definitely & probably will return soon. If your a foodie I recommend you visit...

Food was great, service not so much. Don't get me wrong, the staff were nice enough, just felt things could of been quicker considering it wasn't particularly busy when we went. Was asked what we want to drink whilst sitting in the waiting area picking our food from the menu. The waiter disappeared for a good 20 minutes before another returned to confirm what drinks we were having and then took a further 15 minutes to get the drinks to us. The bar had nobody waiting and there was noone preparing other drinks so we couldn't understand the delay.

We were then taken through to sit and eat, poppadoms were on the table waiting but our starters followed separately about 25 minutes later. Then mains took a further 20-25 minutes to come after that.

Drinks were ordered from the table, again the first waitor just forgot and never came back so had to ask the waitor bringing the mains who went off and returned a good 15 minutes later with our drinks.

Finally we requested the bill and again took another 25 minutes for someone to bring it over. Took approx 2 & half hours from entering to leaving due to slow service.

I feel that if service speed was improved this could be a fantastic restaurant to eat at. As mentioned earlier staff are nice and friendly, the tables were clean and well maintained and parking is literally next to the entrance which is an added bonus.

Oh side note, you can see your breath in the toilets it is that cold in there so I'd take your...
