It's many years since have visited this pub it has had a refurb since then . They have tastefully modernised but still kept some if the original charm . My husband is fussy when he's eating out and the table we had been allocated was in the middle of the room very close to the bar we asked Meganto be moved and it was no problem . Now to the food we had pate and the shrimp for starters the shrimp was well cooked and a little spicy and I loved it . The pate wasn't to my husband's liking it was quite dry and the onion marmalade was in the bottom of the pot but it was plentyfull. Mains were delicious and well presented . Read moreI never really bother to right reviews but we were in the area and wanted somewhere to have some good food and watch the football, we called up and even with 11 in our group they were able to squeeze us in without much notice.
Service was fantastic, food and beer prices were extremely good considering how tasty the food was and how crisp the pints were.
