Coming home from Preston we thought we would call in at the new Nonna Carla restaurant in Garstang (Near the Cattle Market). As it is on a retail park the parking was easy and the restaurant is situated in the right hand corner. A modern flair mixed with nice traditional touches gives a very warm cosy feel to the family run business as you walk in. Staff were very attentive and didn't forget us in any way whilst maintaining service and drink supply to the tables. Myself and wife ordered pasta dishes and with fresh ground served parmesan sprinkled over just made it for me being a parmesan nut, my son (10 years old) decided he wanted a stone oven cooked pizza which was excellent. I should also point out that the Italian cider I decided to drink was as good as any I have had and was silky smooth without bitterness but not too sweet either, I will get the name next time I go and try and find some for home testing. All in all - Food excellent! Staff excellent! Ambience excellent! & all super clean and professional!

Starting a business in these difficult times must be challenging and to see so many people out respecting the social distancing whilst enjoying some traditional Italian food was a pleasure! Well done Nonna Carla team we will look forward to coming again in the...

Very upset. I have been using this restaurant since moving here, nearly 2yrs ago, regularly for me and my family. On this occasion my Son went to pick the food up as we only live across the road. Within the order we got olives. These must have been tipped when putting in the paper bag carrying the main meals and the oil made the paper bag fall through, all the food in the paper bag ended up on the pavement near the shop. We took photos of the bag, food and then tidied up what we could. When going back to the restaurant to show pictures and explain the male worker tried to say we lied and the pictures aren’t enough he wanted the food out of the bin. We have never been so insulted. We spent a lot of money with this restaurant to be called treated like that...

I recommend Nonnacarla to everyone, looking for high quality, authentic Italian food, it has left the best impression.

Me and my boyfriend went out for dinner last week and decide to give this new place a try. We were welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. My boyfriend had a freshly wood fired Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi while I went for the Lasagna al Forno and an amazing glass of red wine. The lasagne was the best I ever had and my boyfriend enjoyed his pizza very much as well.

Thank you for bringing a little piece of Italy to us, can't wait to return (after the lockdown). In the meanwhile we will be happy to order some takeaway, to support your business throughout...

Very disappointed... 2 pizzas take away ... Tried to charge £5 extra for takeaway ...that didn't happen... Meat feast was no feast ... 5 pieces of salami and 5 very thin slices of griddled sausage with some ham dumped on the middle ... The seafood one had 1 anchovy and what tasted like some cold tuna mush dumped in the middle and a few prawns ... Been meaning to try here for ages as we only live over the road but £25 was not worth it at all especially when you see the guy running to the coop for the ingredients.. I know co op is dear but not this dear...as much as I prefer to support local it would be better value driving to dominoes as they don't deliver in this area. Overall it's a no from 2 of us..

I like to review restaurants for my online blog. I went to try Farina & Co in Garstang (Catterall) as I had heard some good things on the grapevine. Pleasantly accommodated by the staff I was invited to view the workings of the kitchen. The restaurant was full as it was lunchtime. Every dish was piping hot, the aromatics were a delight and the taste of the succulent lamb was heavenly. Everything we tried was very authentic tasting and reinterpreted in a modern style. The atmosphere was brilliant, the decor is very modern and chic. We have booked this place to accommodate our wedding party in April.
