We went to queue at the Costa Coffee shop TODAY at the Lancaster South services with my elderly disabled mother who struggles to walk. A young chap in his late 20âs early 30âs with black facial hair, black hair, tall, wearing a high visibility vest and a costa t-shirt who was on his break started shouting across the room at us telling us to get further back in the queue. He said âStand on the circleâ. I explained I was wearing a mask and 2 metres distance from the person in front and behind. He continued shouting saying âThere is a pandemic on you knowâ. Like I donât know that!!! Are you serious pal, do you think we donât know that. Do you think we have been sitting at home without a TV for the last 5 months!!! I shouted back saying âJust enjoy your break pal, alrightâ. He then continued to sit there giving us evils across the room, made us feel very uncomfortable. This chap obviously has some sort of power complex, probably the first security job he has ever had and the authority has gone to his head. There are no rules or signs that state one must stand on the circles. Providing you are observing social distancing rules and wearing a flipping mask nobody has the right to tell the customers where they should be standing. Who do you think you are? the queuing...
Read moreWould leave no stars if I could. One of the young female barista members of staff serving was extremely short with me and very rude, criticising me over a misunderstanding caused by an issue with the Costa App and lack of mobile reception at the services. Perhaps she doesn't like Gen X-ers or Boomers. As well as being insulted and criticised, the two drinks I ordered came in takeaway cups and cost nearly £10! Both the tea and the hot chocolate were extremely lacklustre, and I don't expect to be insulted by someone serving who apparently has no customer service or people skills and seemingly doesn't want to be there. She definitely lacks empathy or consideration for others, which she makes quite apparent. Read the other reviews. It seems I'm not the only one who has had terrible customer service from this awful branch of Costa. Your staff need to learn some customer service skills and develop some empathy and understanding for others. Mebbe they need a refresher course in basic customer service and how to make customers feel valued. Also seems to be a definite lack of response from Costa and no follow-up to...
Read moreThe staff member was really quite rude to me. I couldn't hear him very well as it was quite noisy and he asked me if my order was a latte, which I didn't hear. (I asked for a flat white coffee), once I realised I said to him sorry I asked for a white coffee and he was very short with me, saying I asked you what you wanted. I apologised and explained that when there's a lot of background noise I struggle to hear and I thought he had just repeated my order back to me. The then proceeded to bang and crash and be visibly angry, even though I apologised. I apologised again and he turned his back to me and with a glare. I don't feel his awful attitude was warranted for an...
