Linden Tree Tea Room — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Our first visit today,but it won't be our last! I notice a previous review complained they weren't told about the parking issue,but it's mentioned on their website,they have a large yellow A board and a sign at their own door,not to mention the not quite as eye catching, but still obviously there signs,put there by whoever owns the parking bays,not sure what else they can do! Anyway,my sister and I had a very early hospital appt today so decided to treat ourselves to breakfast here. The reviews I have read previously did not lie,from the wonderful warm welcome from every staff member we came into contact with,to the excellent,freshly cooked Full English,served on hot plates and very reasonably priced. Needed somewhere for a quiet get together for my daughter's Birthday with some school friends and we really wanted afternoon tea. As there were so many of us they offered to stay open a bit later just to accommodate us, the offer was without hesitation and really took me aback and touched me as it was so considerate and unexpected. This evening was lovely, socially distanced for the adults and just so nice. They couldn't do enough for us, lots of sandwiches, cakes and scones with lashings of clotted cream plus plenty of tea to wash it all down with. Went to Linden Tea room yesterday where they serve the best cuppa I have had I a very long time. Also had the hot baguette with roasted chicken and stuffing mmm so yummy. Last week I opted for a bacon barm with a barista coffee, Its only a stone's throw away from me but it's so nice to be able to nip in and have lovely freshly made food. I am going again this afternoon with another of my friends to have a cuppa n cake mmmm now which one will i have, there's quite a few to pick from. You never know I may see you there sometime eh.
