Awful food, very childish chef. He walked out the kitchen and walked in slamming doors, like come on your reheating frozen food there's no need for that, we asked for certain things not to be on our dishes (because we don't like it) they just ignored it and slapped it on when I say slapped I mean slapped we asked for no sour cream on our nachos when it came there was actually splatter marks on the plate. I ordered curly fries as an extra they put them on instead of the fries and gave me like 12. One of the drinks tasted and smelled of urine although to be fair they did change that for a new one. The £1.80 extra for a naan, onion baji, some spinach thing and a samosa. The naan was the size of my palm not even fingers they didn't give us the baji and the others where over cooked rubbish. The biggest insult was the popadoms, how can you mess up a popadom it was great around the edges but the middle was lotterally like chewing gum. Oh and don't get the ribs the fat hasn't been rendered or trimmed so they are chewy and unpleasant. The saving grace was the bbq sauce yes the bbq sauce that is probably bought in, its really good and the only reason that this place got 1 star. I've eaten here before and it was fine there was a few problems but nothing like this. The young lad who brought our food was nice enough even though he gets spoke to like trash by other staff. If you want drinks then this is the place if you want food, there is a coop over the road go buy some microwave meals cook them on your car bonnet and it will be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShocking, been in for a drink with the wife and nipped across the road to the shop leaving my sun glasses on the side and i was a while as there was an incident in the co-op across the road where I ended up having to resuscitate someone that had collapsed and when I returned a member of staff had them on behind the bar telling me they was his and wouldn't give them back. I threatened him with a sarcastic comment managed to get them back and then they barred me. also this member of staff had been warned in the past off the Newton for same behaviour.
Amended because of corruption with staff and my response.
So it didn't happen did it not well maybe you need to do your homework as nothing has changed in that pub since that murder that happened or maybe that didn't happen nether ask at the co-op if its not true it was a member of there staff. And to say he didn't take my sunglasses you are a liar like you lot lied to the police with the murder and look how that panned out so double lies to you sir. And as for barred for life there is over a hundred more pubs with better food that bar staff don't take the piss out of disabled people that come in the pub. I see most of your staff work else where.... seems you can't even keep your staff never mind good customers. And while we are at it the bloke that dose the pest control round here dose nothing but bang on about the stench from the toilets and rats from your bins.. never mind the smoke that comes from the sizzler vent that the fire brigade have been to numerous times...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLess sizzle, more mizzle. This was our first visit and our last. Which was such a disappointment as we have just moved to within 5 mins walk and looking for a nice local to visit and get to be part of the local community. But this was shocking at best. We arrived to a busy bank holiday evening around 6-6:15pm. Food is ordered at table or counter, as the internet didnāt allow me to order online, so off to the bar. Having explained to the man at the bar this was our first visit. He did say there was an hour wait on food. We said ok, we donāt mind if itās worth waiting for. I ordered the curry feast and my wife a 5oz rump well done and chips. However, one and half hours later the waiting rocks up with the curry feast with no samosa or naan bread because they had run out. And added an extra popadom as a substitute. They had nearly 2hrs to notify us of the incomplete order and ask if wanted to change our order. The rump steak was tough as shoe leather and the chips on both dishes were barely lukewarm. Which is just about all that can be said about this establishment, its food and the lack of management allowing this debacle to occur. There is a Stirling fish & chips restaurant across the street. Wish I had gone there instead. You have lost a potential local all year...
