Carrot cake served in/on a paper bag with a plastic fork. Toasted teacake and butter served together in a cardboard packet, making it very difficult to spread the butter as it was a melting puddle. All hot drinks served in disposable cups and water served in one-use plastic glasses. This Costa doesn't use reusable crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. as they don't have a dishwasher and haven't had one for at least a year! How can the owner of this franchise (?) justify this? The amount of waste produced in this Costa must be phenomenal, as it's a very busy cafe. I'm not sure how much waste is recycled, but all the waste from tables (that customers seem to have to clear themselves) goes into one bin, and I suspect it all then goes into a central general waste bin. Very poor Costa, you must do a lot better!
