Visited today following the place being recommended to me, first impressions I was impressed, lovely spacious & light, greeted with a smile. We were a party of 3 who ordered ( 2 X fish & chips plus a Caesar salad. Food arrived very quickly & on first impression it looked good, this is unfortunately this is where my positive review ends. The fish wasn't fully cooked, batter soggy, the chips were really hard to bite into (it was like they were the chips from the day before & reheated today), this was the case for both plates. The Caesar salad was pleasant, just too much sauce which I get that this can be a personal preference however my biggest issue was that I found a hair in the food which immediately made me not wanting to eat anything more. When the plates were removed, the waitress asked if everything was ok ( it was evident that it wasn't due to the amount of food left, we explained what we'd experienced, yes an apology was given verbally but there was no follow up from the waitress, if anything, she made a conscious effort to avoid both our table or any eye contact. We we were very disappointed that the Bistro didn't want to have a follow up to discuss the matter following the plates being returned to the chef. The cost of the food & drink was reasonable, collectively our bill was around £42 which some could see this as being a little pricey considering it was only lunch.

Overall I do feel that it was a waste of money and most of all, the establishment certainly needs to review the level of customer service they provide even when things go wrong. In my opinion good or bad feedback personally should all be taken and if necessary followed up. Unfortunately I wouldn't return...

Farmers Parrs Café – Breakfast Done Properly!

If you’re in the area, I can definitely recommend giving this café a try. They’ve got a fantastic choice of meals and snacks on the menu, and to be honest, I’ve no idea how they manage to deliver such great food and service at such low prices.

I went for the brunch — and what a treat. The bacon and sausage were spot on. Let’s be honest, a good sausage or bit of bacon can make or break a fry-up, but no worries here. It tastes like Farmers Parrs only use top-quality meat on their menu, and it really shows. Absolutely gorgeous.

The eggs were cooked just how I like them, the beans weren’t runny, and everything came out piping hot.

This place has officially made it onto my breakfast circuit — it’s head and shoulders above the competition.

One small suggestion: how about a cake counter? If they ever introduced a patisserie, I reckon they’d struggle to cope with the flood of people (especially the ladies!) queuing up to sample the fresh...

One of the best food places about, we visit regularly as we have a caravan nearby so when ever we are there we always visit for food.

The Mega Breakfast is fantastic.

Some delicious choices on the lunch menu aswell as the specials board (Hunter's chicken today was beautiful!)

The venue is always clean tidy & well presented on every visit. It is also spacious as well. Staff are always very friendly welcoming and helpful.

Very good for family dining, and the baby changing facilities are always very clean too.

Excellent value for money & We have always had fantatic meals (probably been about 10 times in the last 3 months)

It does get busy at peak times so may be best to book a table if you are visiting.

Highly...

My wife and I had an excellent breakfast here last Friday. We'd never been before and didn't know what to expect but we had a very enjoyable visit. Car parking is plentiful, the tractor shed itself is large with lots of seating, food was cooked and served in good time and the quality was top notch. My only minor gripe is that we had the Fordson Breakfast with the Cumberland sausage which was delicious - but rather than serve hash brown bites AND a hash brown, perhaps drop the hash brown and have beans instead. My wife and I agreed it would have made it a better selection. Anyway, top notch - we will be back. Please see the photos I took.

Farmer Parr’s Bistro is a great place for food with a wide variety of food to choice from including gluten free and other dietary requirements. The staff are amazing and friendly and very knowledgeable about the food they serve. The breakfast is amazing for under £10 and all reasonably priced too. Really is worth a visit. From ordering to food at the table in under 15 mins and piping hot too.

Restaurant attached to Farmer Parrs Farm. The only way to get drinks/ice creams for the farm is to stand in a long food queue when there are 3 members of staff stood chatting on the 'bistro bar' doing nothing and no bottled drinks available there to take away. Not a very good system when it's a hot day and all you need is drinks and ice creams..
