Best takeaway for miles, been coming here since the early 90s. The pizzas are the best in Yorkshire with only a strong challenge from Pizza Pieces in Bradford centre. They could do with a card machine but haven't had one since a robbery a few years ago, but the plus side is I'd rather a business was card less then cash less. They've always been iffy with deliveries mainly because it's very accessible, easy to get to, park up if in a car and since they originally opened they probably got used to customers not wanting maximum convenience; food cooked for them and brought straight to them with payment done digitally in between. Sadly people are far too lazy these days. The main problems with the place: Razar's a great guy but will always tell you food will be ready within 20 minutes no matter how quiet or busy they are, I'm sure I'm not the only person to go in after the 20 minute mark only to find him just starting to make my order. One of Razars best qualities can also be his worst; his chattiness. It's great to have someone who you are familiar with and is friendly and always enquiring on your wellbeing and can have a conversation and a laugh with. Sadly the negative of this he isn't always paying attention because he is too busy chatting. He needs to find a balance of when and when not to. The lack of menus and prices. From the early 90s up to the 2020s they had menus and prices but unfortunately as a small business they have been hammered from the tories/labours concerted joint effort to ruin every one of the population into financial oblivion and casa hasn't been exempt from this with all the inflation over the last few years, it's been hard from them to stick to a price
The only thing left to say is don't be put off by the problems. The food really...
Read moreDecided to try Casa pizza after local appeals that they were struggling for business. I am honest in my reviews and this will be no different. Don’t get me wrong the pizza was absolutely delicious. The problems are they only accept cash they don’t deliver and are not online. Phoned order in wasn’t started until I got there. Which to be honest by the time I’d walked from a few streets away you had thought it would have been ready. Was not told over the phone that it was cash only so then had to use a local shop to get cash back luckily I had my card on by me as usually only pay by Apple Pay etc. Also no cash points anywhere near the takeaway as post office had closed. No menus available to take home for next time as they didn’t have any. To be fair I wouldn’t personally go back even though the food was delicious. They need to pull themselves into the 21st century and get a card machine. Start delivering maybe through online partners eg Uber just eat etc. I can see why they are struggling compared to other businesses but in all honestly if they don’t put themselves out there they are going to continue to struggle if they made these changes I’m sure there business would improve and bring them...
Read more5 Stars – Tasty Food & Friendly Service! Casa Pizza in Clayton is one of the best local takeaways I’ve tried. The pizza was freshly made with a nice crispy base and loads of flavour. I also ordered their chicken burger and fries – everything was cooked perfectly and served hot. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, and even though it was cash only, they let me know in advance when I called, which I appreciated. The service was quick and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. Definitely a great spot for a casual takeaway night – I’ll be coming...
