The site was clean and tidy, we didn't use any of the facilities as we were only there for one night in October '19. Unfortunately the restaurant was only open for an event rather than the public / suite users but it looked nice and is open to anyone at times. I think there was a pub around 10-15 mins walk which were tempted to visit but it was too comfy in the camper on a cold night. The staff were pleasant and advised us where to park up in our campervan and were facilities where, there was only one caravan there at the time. If we were in the area we would go back.

24th may 2019, we had a perfectly superb party for my wife's 60th birthday at the manor, Rebecca and Colin were fantastic hosts catering to all our needs. Colin cooked all the food from fresh, and it was loved by all our guests. i would definitely recommend newshome manor for a great party venue. good food, bar, disco and staff. 10/10. special thank you to Rebecca and Colin for all your help and organisation skills..

Absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent — professional, warm, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. I had the prawn starter and the lamb main, and I can honestly say they were the best I’ve ever eaten — and that includes anything I’ve had at home! Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. A thoroughly enjoyable experience all round. Highly recommended.

It's hard to list all of the things that make this site so excellent,

But I'll try! The owners are lovely, they made us feel very welcome.

When we arrived they gave us the choice of an alternative pitch as we had a large tent with us and they thought we might like a larger pitch.

The gentleman then made sure we were happy and comfortable before he left us.

The pitch we had was excellent and The space between pitches is huge and the pitches themselves are ample (we have a large horizon 700 nightfall tent (8m x 6m)) and it fitted without any problem.

The site itself as gorgeous views overlooking the countryside, with lovely walks and great scenery all round the valley.

There are a load of friendly sheep roaming around and the hotel for refreshments alcohol and food, modern and clean and passed the test of my slightly OCD!

There is no shop or clubhouse (which is great as they are usually rubbish anyway!)

and there is a real sense that these guys are not out to take as much money from you as possible,

quite the opposite in fact. The price we paid here was significantly less than we have paid elsewhere at sites that are just not in the same league as this place.

To summarise, this lovely hotel is a real gem, and you will not only have a lovely relaxing time but you will be made to feel really welcome and you'll want to...

We arranged a funeral luncheon for 6th August2025 with Rebecca, for family who travelled to Yorkshire from Northern Ireland. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly with tea and coffee and a private area for our meal. Nothing was too much trouble for Rebecca and staff, the food was superb with a great selection of meals and desserts. Every single meal was beautiful and desserts were fab. It was a difficult day for family and close friends but the warm welcome and friendly service was first class and made the day very special .Newsholme Manor, we wish we could come back sooner if we only.lived closer. Very...
