Had afternoon tea for my wife's 60tb birthday with a number of friends.
Although it a bit of a journey from home for an afternoon tea we have been each year on my wife's birthday for the last 3 years.
The staff are always so friendly and the afternoon tea is one of the best we have ever had, with very genious portions, good job doggy bags were available. Perhaps a few more savoury items would be nice
For the previous 2 years we have eaten on the terrace overlooking to beutiful country side where we were allowed to bring our dogs, this year however with bad weather we had to eat inside which mean we had to leave the dogs at home but still a very enjoyable experiance.
While a retirement village resutant is not the first place I would think of for a great afternoon tea, I would thoroughly recommend it,
The other food items look great as well, perhaps an excuse to go back and try more that just an afternoon tea.

You have to go through the pool area and through the halls to get to it and there's not the best signage.
We established how to get there after asking but once we did we were glad we found the place.
We were sat at a comfortable table and had a really friendly server, we went for the afternoon tea and it was delicious.
The star of the show was the sausage roll with the caramelized onion topper and the wide selection of puddings.
