We sat next to the aquarium, which we loved, beautiful fish, definitely a talking point. The atmosphere was great and the staff was really nice to talk to and friendly. My husband and I had the pate starter which was gorgeous and a great amount of bread compared to some places. We all had the sunday dinner which was lovely but personally if I am having roast potatoes and veg I expect it to be roasted, but they were not unfortunately this did let the meal down. The carrots and parsnip was soggy and the potatos were not good too, I think you should be able to tell there roasted, nice brown and crispy. We would go back again though and try a different meal. Over all we all had a nice time.

This pub is a hidden gem. Owners and locals very welcoming. Good selection of drinks. In terms of real ale there was Landlord, Landlord Dark, a bitter and a blonde. Price wise it was similar to other village pubs in the area, not bad because this pub is in very good condition and the beers are well kept. The fire was going and the environment is very nice. Lots of details everywhere in this old pub. Lovely seats and tables too.

Very nice, old school pub. Really nice decorations inside. Good selection of beers. Really good food. There are some vegetarian and vegan options available, but for some strange reason they are not on the main menu. There is an oper fire chimney on one of the side of you are a fan. For me it was bit to smokey in the room. Service was very nice. I will be back for sure.

Rang up at 5pm to see if they were serving food and the menu was normal, the person on the phone assured me everything was ok and they had had a very quiet day no need to book and everything was available on the menu. Turned up they literally had 3 main menu items available and the same person I spoke to on the phone said ā€œwe have had a really busy day there’s been a funeral on and it’s cleared us out of a lot of foodā€ I did want a beef butty (not available) the only reason I actual stayed at this point is Because my kids were starving!! I ordered pie and chips as that was the last one, when it arrived it looked like my 4 year old had slopped some mud from the garden on my plate…….. presentation was absolutely disgusting. It came with mash (which I specifically said NO MASH!. My children ordered from the kids menu which online it did say Ā£4.95 per meal but when we arrived it was Ā£6 (not an issue) my sons burger was literally the size of one of those miniature burgers from Aldi from the Christmas special boxes! I’m not joking it was a mouthful at best, he was still starving and ate 1/2 of my pie……… value for money is ZERO and I wouldn’t recommend. We won’t...

Just been to function there. No welcome. We were allocated the disjointed side of the pub, which had rooms /booths in the central space. No room for people to sit and talk/ mingle. When we tried to moved to the other open side of the pub, the owner deliberately went round putting reserved on the tables, to stop anyone sitting there...but there was no one in that side of the pub at all as customers not related to the function. Decor is drab and depressing. Didn't bother trying the food....left before then. I live in the village and will not be making a return visit to...
