Food excellent, it's definitely the place to go for a decent Italian meal. The menu on their website is up to date, so we knew there were some great dishes. Plus they have an interesting specials list, so the choice is excellent. The building is old and charming inside, the service very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely meal.

One issue though. We chose this restaurant for a family meal because they have a children's menu. It was mum's birthday, so the boys wanted to come along. Lots of nice dishes on the childrens menu, so no fear that the kids would complain. One son had macaroni and bolagnase sauce, the other had ricotta and spinach ravioli. The bolagnase was a generous size dish, too much for a 6 year old in fact. The ravioli was 4 average size pieces in a butter sauce, our 8 year old finished this in 4 mouthfuls. That is not a child's meal, and we had to feed the poor boy from the rest of our plates. Being British we said nothing and smiled, which does not help. Please take note, that is not a child size...

I'd never been here before but we decided to go after a recommendation. I was really pleased initially by the fact you can park your car opposite...

On arrival we were welcomed by a number of attentive staff and shown to our table. The service from the off was excellent. The decor is maybe a little tired but once service began I didn't give it another thought.

I felt the menu/options were really good, a perfect mixture to satisfy everyone. I was impressed by the number of fish dishes on the menu and opted for Skate which is a fish you can really identify freshness... Mine was absolutely lovely.

The dessert menu is also varied and pleasingly all home made including the ice cream! Really enjoyed my creme brulee.

Overall, this is one of the nicest meals I've had in a long while, although not cheap, I felt the quality of the food reflected the price. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a nice couples evening out or a get together with friends... Wonderful food and service, what's...

Was taken here for lunch as somewhere special but I personally was not very impressed if honest, I am not a great meat eater and a bit choosy about my fish so was looking for something to temp me which was vegetarian and I can only remember one choice which did not appeal to me so ended up with some fish. I found it to be quite tasteless but the sauce covering it was nice. With no one having a starter just main course and dessert and a few of the four of us had a couple of glasses of wine when the bill came which my father in law paid for I was shocked. I will not be going back any time soon. Lucky for me I have a wonderful pub with extensive fish menu not far from me where I will be taking my father in law too soon as my treat.
