First of all, let me start by saying that the service was absolutely fantastic! I have never been greeted with such a warm, welcoming grimace before! It really set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Now, when it came to ordering our drinks, our waiter couldn't quite tell the difference between a regular coke and a diet coke. But, hey, who needs to watch their sugar intake anyway, right? I mean, he couldn't be more right when he said "does it even matter?".

Throughout the meal, our knowledgeable waiter constantly tutted and sighed. It was like he couldn't wait to get away from our table. But let me tell you, he was a real expert on the dishes. He even went so far as to stand and dig around in them at the end of the table to see what they were before serving. What dedication to his craft!

And don't even get me started on the hot plates. Rather than simply walking around the table, our waiter made us all pass them down from one end to the other. It gave us all a sense of community making us all feel slightly closer to one another, where else could you get that experience?

To top it all off, there was a lovely bit of free dried dishwasher coriander stuck on one of the plates. Our waiter was about to scratch it off with his nail before we suggested getting a clean plate. Can you say "yum"?

The food was fantastic and the service was polite, helpful and attentive. Inside is clean and well presented, with tables well set. I'm 6ft3 so something to be wary of is the low ceilings due to the premises being in an old converted cottage. There are plenty of signs warning customers to "Mind your head" etc.

As for the food, we ordered Seekh kebab for starters and then Lamb Rajasthani and Chicken Tikka Shashlik massala for mains. Everything was delicious and well recommended.

Booked a table for 9 people and arrived to a table for 8. One of the “clean” plates had a small piece of coriander welded on it (presumably by dish washer) and the waiter was going to just scrape it off rather than bring a new plate out. Staff didn’t care if they were serving coke or Diet Coke saying “it’s the same thing anyway”.
