Panners Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Braintree

This was our first visit here and it will not be the last. Great menu and a specials board. I opted for the breakfast which was beautifully cooked with very tasty sausages and proper bacon, not the tissue thin stuff. Fresh tomatoes and mushrooms, lots of beans as well as toast. My husband had a panini served with crisps salad and coleslaw. Very generous portions and fairly priced. Hot chocolate was indeed lovely and hot, not barely warm as so often happens. The cakes looked lovely alas too full today, guess we will have to come back another day...

I work nearby here and come in for lunch fairly regularly. Always had good food and coffee from here. I've only had lunches like sandwiches or paninis but always nice, even as a takeaway you get a nice little salad and crisps which is nice. Coffee is pretty good too. Staff always very friendly and service is great for eating in or takeaway. Can be quite busy but that's what to expect when a local place is doing...

Oh my god, the cake!!!!! I had a caramel cake and it was out of this world. I had lunch here as I needed something quickly and close to work, and Panners is perfectly placed. I don't get many opportunities to go out and get something to eat, but I had a prawn sandwich and a slice of cake. If diet wasn't an issue I would have eaten it three times over.
