Subject: Shady Money Incident at Trawlers Catch Shop almost had to call the cops
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to inform you of a highly distressing experience I had at your establishment, Trawlers Catch, recently. My family and I ordered pizzas and garlic bread from your shop, hoping to enjoy a delicious meal together. However, things took a turn for the worse when we reached the register to pay.
The staff informed us at the last minute that they do not accept contactless or card payments, and I was asked to transfer the amount to your bank account. Despite my repeated requests for the necessary bank details, the staff did not provide them and the two men said a store around the corner. Subsequently, I was forced to walk to another store to withdraw cash from an ATM, which was a challenge given my advanced pregnancy.
Upon returning with the cash, I tried to negotiate a payment of £25 instead of the original £27 or to remove the garlic bread from the order since were unable to get pounds or offered to take the bank transfer. This led to a hostile interaction with your manager, who began shouting and acting aggressively towards me and my sister-in-law. The situation escalated to the point where I felt threatened and had to insist on leaving the premises for our safety.
I am deeply concerned by the unacceptable behavior displayed by your staff, particularly the manager, during this incident. It is imperative that such actions are addressed promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of customers.
I urge you to conduct an evaluation of the situation and take appropriate measures to prevent such occurrences in the future. I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and implement necessary changes to uphold a safe and respectful environment for all patrons.
Thank you for your attention to this...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible, been here before but this time was shouted at to “f off out of my shop” whilst shaking the salt shaker at us furiously because we didn’t have a face mask on.. May I add we ordered and paid then the owner started hurling abuse at us! 3 other people in front of us- also no masks ordered kebabs with no issue. Perhaps our faces didn’t fit? Horrendous customer service, was happy to take £38.50 first without a problem. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there as it was completely unnecessary. Great if your looking for an...
Read moreWe’ve used this place many times. However went the other day fella in takeaway starts shouting at people to get out of as too many people inside. Quite distressing as there were small children there at the time. As many shops now have signs up on the door stating how many people are allowed in at a time because of Covid rules it might be an idea to do that instead of shouting and being really rude to customers. Lastly the food was horrible the chips had been reheated and the lamb shish was like trying to eat a...
