The Pilgrims Korai — Restaurant in Brentwood

If you like your food well done and cooked to an inch of it's life, then this is the place for you. It's a real shame that the standards are dropping at the Pilgrims Korai, we have had five or six great meals there. However last night was SO bad, we definitely will not be going back. My wife and I ordered Shashlik main meals of chicken and lamb, both mains were way over done and everything just tasted burnt. The yardstick for all Indian restaurants in the UK has to be the honest onion bhaji. I will never order from this restaurant again. There is no customer care and the order was delivered wrong twice! False information and poor food l have never experienced this before. This restaurant has gone downhill and all through greed. I made this order at 5pm and they are quick enough to take your money but funny never want to refund when they are wrong. Been here a few times, and always been pretty good. However, this evening, the Kormas we got were extremely bland in flavour and the chicken was dry.

I called, and explained the situation and there was no offer to cook a fresh Korma, or refund anything. The only 'compensation' I would get would be discount if I was to come again, but why would I after the bland Korma?

Very disappointed, as I've had a lot of deliveries, plus sat in a few times with 6+ people.
