Exotic Explorers — Attraction in Brentwood

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Exotic Explorers to our daughter’s 6th birthday party, which was Harry Potter–themed – and what they brought to the experience was nothing short of magical.

In just 45 minutes, they managed to teach a group of around 40 children all about owls in a fun, engaging, and truly memorable way. The highlight was their beautiful white barn owl, which they let fly in front of the children – and each child had the amazing opportunity to hold the owl and have their photo taken with it. It was genuinely special.

From start to finish, working with Puri, our main contact, was a dream. She was incredibly responsive, accommodating to every request and idea we had, and went above and beyond to tailor the experience to fit our Harry Potter theme.

And when I say they went all in – I mean it! They arrived in fantastic costumes: • Puri was dressed head to toe in a perfect Slytherin outfit, • Her colleague came as Professor Sprout – complete with Mandrakes (Mandragora officinarum – the magical plants that let out a piercing scream when pulled from their pots!). With a hilarious shriek, the kids absolutely loved it. It truly felt like we’d invited not just an owl experience but two brilliant performers to our party.

The owl segment became the highlight of the entire party, with the children totally captivated. There was a rare stillness in the room as the owl appeared – everyone was completely focused. The children listened intently, asked thoughtful questions, and came away having learned so much.

The next day, my daughter was still telling me facts about owl brains and how far they can fly – she was clearly both impressed and inspired. It was a perfect way to bring together the magic of Harry Potter with a meaningful, educational experience that sparked curiosity and a love for animals.

Puri and her team were professional, punctual, flexible, and had even built in extra time in case the party ran slightly late (which it did – as parties tend to!). Payment and communication were smooth and easy, and the entire experience felt incredibly well-organised and thoughtfully delivered.

Thank you so much again to Puri and the Exotic Explorers team. You brought pure magic to our daughter’s party, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to blend fun, learning, and a true sense of wonder.

Ben, Puri, Carol and a selection of their incredible animals visited our prep school today to deliver 4 sessions to Years 2-6 and we were absolutely thrilled with the experience. The whole team were so knowledgeable about the animals and everyone (including all of the teachers) learned so much from them. The animals were clearly well looked after and all 3 of the team obviously cared a lot about their welfare and made sure that all of them, and our children, were always comfortable. All of the children had a chance to handle the animals safely if they wanted to, and it was lovely that some of the animals were free to roam around the floor space rather than always being held and/or passed. They gave us so much information and were able to answer all of the weird and wonderful questions thrown at them by the children. And of course the whole team are so friendly and accommodating. So glad that we came across Exotic Explorers and already looking ahead to when we can have them back!...

Fantastic, could not recommend enough. Ben and Carol came and gave my son and his best friend a VIP experience for his 5th birthday. We only have a small lounge (too cold outside for reptiles this time of year) but they made it work brilliantly and come fully prepared with folding tables etc. Ben’s knowledge is endless. Not only are lots of fun facts and items like bones, tarantula “shells” and snake skins on hand to talk about. But we found even us adults could ask any question when curios about the animals, and even the random ones, Ben would know. They were both excellent with the children. I do have a very hyper child. They managed him well and I was guided by their expert hand in selecting animals not only he would love, but we’re appropriate for an excitable 5 year old at the end of a school day.
