I'm giving this a mixed review. I've previously had Gołąbki here that were a solid 4 stars, but this time, the dish was a significant disappointment and nowhere near its usual standard. The main issues were: * The cabbage was undercooked and had a strange taste, somewhat like a grape leaf. * The mince lacked the proper amount of rice and had a strange, sour flavor. * The portion size also seemed to have shrunk. I strongly suggest the owner try a recent dish, as they would know how this classic plate should taste. I will definitely return to the restaurant, but I will be avoiding this particular dish in the future. There was no one at the bar

An Absolute Transformation – A Hidden Gem Reborn!

This place has undergone a complete 180-degree transformation under the new owner – and what a change it is! The kitchen is an absolute game changer. The knysza stuffed with 400g of meat is a beast of a meal – it will satisfy even the hungriest food lovers. Every bite is flavorful and clearly made with care. The new owner is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about creating a welcoming atmosphere. He’s always happy to chat with guests, making everyone feel right at home. What’s more, there’s plenty of space for kids to play and even for our four-legged friends to join in the fun. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or spending time with family and friends, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly...

A Fresh Start That Truly Delivers!

You can really feel the difference the moment you walk in – this place has been completely transformed by the new owner, and it’s for the better in every way. The food? Outstanding. The knysza packed with 400g of meat is a total game changer – hearty, delicious, and guaranteed to leave you full and satisfied. The owner brings a warm, personal touch. He’s approachable, always up for a friendly chat, and clearly cares about making every guest feel welcome. What really sets this spot apart is the atmosphere – relaxed, family-friendly, and even pet-friendly. There’s plenty of room for kids to enjoy themselves and space for dogs too, which makes it perfect for a casual outing. Definitely a place worth visiting (and...

Since I moved to the other side of Bristol it's no longer my local pub. I visited after a few good years as it's never exactly convenient to get there. I have to say ill definitely make more of an effort to pop for a meal. It's apparently under new ownership and it shows. It's very bright, clean and inviting. The food is amazing, especially the dishes with a European twist. The size of the large Gyros is mind blowing, I could barely finish the whole thing. What also positively added to the experience, was the children's play area that kept my little ones busy while we waited for food. If you're on the M5, passing by Avonmouth and you're craving a great warm meal I highly recommend you...
