Smooth & Fire — Restaurant in Bristol

Placed an order on Uber eats because we fancied something different, it's about a 20minute drive from the restaurant to our address, was told it was due to arrive at 9.40, by 10, we still didn't have our food, rang the restaurant (which was closed by now) and was told " they had been let down by a driver and we're short , left it til 1030 and rang again, was told they didn't know where the driver was but that the delivery was on its way. By 11'0clock we had given up and started to look around the kitchen for something light as is was too late to eat a decent tea now, rang the restaurant, told them to cancel the food and if it arrived at ours we would reject it anyway. The driver then rang us to say he was outside with our food, well we don't know where outside as it wasn't our address as we were standing outside when he rang. I had ordered a large curried goat and rice & peas to take away I was hugely disappointed when I had opened the container to see what I had gotten, there was plenty of bones and no curried goat it was only just bones, this was a really huge mistake and really big shame to see that they are serving poor standards of Caribbean food the shop needs to be completely closed down for good. These shop owners are very bearfaced day time and night time rubbers and thief's and you are being ripped off from your money's worth to serve you poor quality food. The food had cost £10 for a large portion but it was really worth £3.00 They don't know how to really cook real Jamaican yardy food plus it was very tasteless with no taste at all and for a large portion they don't put hardly any rice & peas you can count the rice and peas they give you plus the curried goat is badly watered down without no taste the name of the shop should be called tasteless...

Staying in hotels whilst working away isn't the best, missing home cooking, spices, etc even worse in these days with nowhere open to sit, enjoy a meal, chat with people etc. After a cpl of disappointing meals decided to try a 'so called', carribean restaurant BEST DECISION EVER. PEPPERED PRAWNS= AMAZING JERK CHICKEN= BLOODY AMAZING the rice and peas absolute devine The veg was great as missed those not being home Even though the meal was late, it didn't phase me as it was absolutely brilliant This place is now on my list of places to eat when in certain areas I cannot recommend enough for excellent quality food and flavours
