Come to Three Ponds for a nice meal out. Went to order Sirloin & Ribs to be told no Ribs. Ordered hunters chicken instead with side of sautéed mushrooms (NO MUSHROOMS), wanted coliflower cheese (no coliflower cheese) so had chicken wings instead for side, Went to order Lasagna that comes with salad and garlic bread and wanted a side of onion rings (no onion rings) so had chips. Had cheesy garlic Bread. Went back to table to realise partner ordered hunters chicken and that has onion rings on...so Went back to ask about onion rings and they said we will put on garlic bread instead???? Never even told us when we ordered Hunters chicken so if I'd of not said side of onion rings the garlic bread would have just come out with it.
Anyway thought well we will just enjoy what we have ordered.
Both meals came out
Lasagna looks fine.
Hunters chicken however was so so tiny ie just bigger then quarter of tomatoe. Partner asked for it to be changed chef said no.....so we just thought we'd tuck in......CHICKEN VERY DRY, BACON VERY HARD AND BURNT.
We don't normally moan about meals....my lasagna was nice but I even tried that chicken and it was so so dry couldn't really taste the BBQ sauce then I tried the bacon and that was absolutely VILE. And for £9.50 you would expect a lot better.
Will not be returning and sport if my family was suppose to go there Friday with their whole family I had to ring him and unfortunately tell him not to bother. Hopefully...
Read moreNice looking pub inside and staff are friending BUT this was a thursday evening around 6.30pm there was quite a few people inside and out and only one very young bar staff member and one floor server, both where rushed off their feet. I ordered a pulled beef wrap and my husband ordered one of their burgers which came with a mass of things on it. Both looked good BUT this had taken more than 45 mins to arrive which we hadnt been warned about when ordering the food. My wrap was cold and only had two pieces of pulled pork inside no bigger than my little finger nail it was filled so much with colslaw thats all i could taste. I ended up just leaving it. My husband deconstructed his burger to eat it and im so glad he did because the burger which looked like it was homemade was brown on the outside but only just and completely raw mince on the inside. I had to walk around to find the floor staff and was then offered a replacement. really. I asked for a refund which she agreed to but instead of sorting this out for me i was told to go to the bar, she didnt inform the barstaff and i had to stand in the queue for almost 10minutes to get the refund from a very stressed tender who couldnt add up my two meals and gave me an incorrect amount of money back which i had to correct for her. This isnt the first something like this has happened so with this in mind i wouldnt recommend...
Read moreThe food here was great! Plenty to choose from and of course, abundant in choice of drinks.
Good atmosphere, not too loud considering a lot of people were in. Plenty of parking available down the side and to the rear.
The reason for a 4 star - it wasn't quite the 5 star feel when there's more than half a dozen tables reserved and we ended up having to take the last available table still equipped with the last customer's glass and rubbish (3 of us eating and had to sit at 2 bar-style tables - tall tables and small and our group was split as each table could only fit 2 people).
We asked if we could use a table that had no one sat at the reserved tables. No! That's okay, but only 1 reserved table out of about 7 tables actually became occupied for the whole hour we was there for a meal.
Totally appreciate reserving tables, but, not having flexibility is a little weak.
However after all said, the food was good, all came out hot and was a quick service when ordering drinks. Overall, happy, just a little disappointed about all them empty tables we couldn't sit at.
Still...
