The Hare & Hounds — Restaurant in Burnley

Twice me and my 4 year old daughter has come to this pub! Once last Sunday understood that they were busy so we got a drink and waited to see if a table came available! Not once did any staff come up to us to be polite and advise a waiting time completely ignored. However gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought we would try again. This afternoon came in no one hardly in one couple and a family of three. We sat down asked for a menu and staff just said no fully booked. So we left I called up and asked if I could have a table was told we can have one at 2:30pm without saying how many. This was in half an hour. So I don't know how they can refuse us but book someone without knowing how many people half hour later! I actually felt not welcome at all and I have no idea what me and my four year old has done. Craven Hiefer is the way forward! Will never step foot...

Food was excellent and service was great. The Distancing measures in place were spot on. We felt very safe as a family of 5. The staff were polite and friendly and were constantly on the go. It was the first day of the Eat Out To Help Out scheme. We had booked but some came as walk ins. We waited a little longer than you would normally expect but it was not an issue at all as the staff were working extremely hard to get the orders out and regularly checked we were ok. Booked again same night for tomorrow as they are now only taking pre booked. Looking forward to it. Well Done and Thank you for a lovely meal out for myself ,...

Recently attended this pub with a friend with the intention of having a quiet Pint, however as we neared the end of our beverage the land lady JANET abruptly confronted us and accused us of having taken narcotics within the premises. She had no evidence except the fact that we went to the toilet at the same time..... Yeah we had been on rounds during the afternoon so our toilet times were pretty synchronised but as we were the youngest people in the pub (that's 30 years of age by the way) we were targeted for some so called evidence and barred. Do not attend this pub unless the age of 50...
