Just come back from xmas dinner, what a disaster. Starters ok, then main course. There were 5 of us and 4 mains were correct but my pre- ordered main was wrong. No apology just told thats what I had ordered! which was incorrect as would never order a wellington as i cant eat pastry. The server went away and slammed the pre-order sheet down and said, there that's what you ordered, I pointed out I never filled in a sheet I ordered over the Internet so obviously someone had filled it in wrong. So they said OK will do you a salmon. Obviously I knew I would have to wait, even tho not my error. Everyone had finished when they finally brought mine out. Now onto the meal. All our roasts obviously had been stood, cold, soggy and not browned. Each veg soggy, overcooked. All 5 of us left our meals, so when the server collected our plates I said the meal wasn't good, she never apologised just said I will send the manager over. Now bear in my 3 of us work customer service jobs and my daughter a manager. What an attitude! I was told no one else had complained, the table next to us said their meal was also inedible, my husband had spoken to people outside who all said the same. All the manager did was argue every point with us, she was totally non plussed about our complaints and definitely needs customer service training. I said can you bring our desserts out asap as my husband has to go into work. Lo and behold they brought out my dessert wrong. When we tried to address the point with the manager she said ive other tables to serve. Im also a very polite and non aggressive person so my complaint was given fairly and politely.All in all a totally disaster of a meal and made to feel like they were doing us a massive favour serving us xmas day. We had to leave abruptly at 4.30 cos guess what my husband also is working xmas day night and had worked xmas eve night and will be working boxing day night and I'm sure he will treat his customers a whole lot...

Now then myself and my husband and 2 daughter's have been coming to the prairie for quite some time now and have not really had a problem,that was up until this Monday the 29h of October.We arrived at around 6.15,the place was already quite busy with other customers.We ordered our food which was a mega mixed grill,southern fried chicken burger and 2 triple house burgers,we were told by the young girl on the till that there would be a 20 minute wait,not a problem,We got our drinks and paid the bill which was £38.46,We sat down and waited and waited for our food to arrive,50 minutes later and the girl arrives with the mix grill and the southern fried chicken burger, she then brings out 2 triple hunters chicken,I said to her that we had ordered the triple house burgers and not this,so she takes it back to the kitchen comes back and tells us that it was an error on the till,RUBBISH,the order was read back to us and not once was hunters chicken mentioned,she said that we could still have the burgers but would obviously have to wait,or we could just have the chicken which she made a point In telling us that it was dearer than the burgers,After already waiting for 50 mins we did not wish to wait any longer and said we would have the chicken. Well what can I say?? The mixed grill was shocking,burnt sausages,burnt tomatoes burnt onion rings and the chips looked like they had had better days.The chips that were with all of our meals were terrible,in fact we left most of It.I would have complained on the night to the manager but our daughter has a brain injury and was getting very anxious because I was so mad about the poor quality of the food.and service. Read moreSorry to do this at such a trying time .Yes they are Covid safe .First we pre booked a table on the app and stood in the entrance for five maybe ten mins before being checked in. We was shown to table and explain the rules which was fine and where poss you ordered via the app . To be honest you need to as you don’t really see staff now ( limited staff due to Covid ) . Three of the meals were not as they should have been 8oz rump steak we asked for blue - it was well done Triple hunter chicken cremated tomato dry hard chicken overcooked bacon BBQ chicken burger cold, the curry was fine. On normal occasion we’d of sent it back but we’d already sat over and hour due to it being busy and limited staff and decided we didn’t want to wait so what was the choice return it and get a refunded eat what was there. we decided it wasn’t worth waiting there any longer for either of those so decided to eat and leave we’d already paid via the app - we are disappointed, maybe when things run normal we may try again but for now we will leave it.
