Always wear a coat as it’s absolutely freezing in this place especially if you end up in the conservatory. Our visit was mid September a cold day and no heating on, (that’s the reason we stopped going a couple of years ago.) Plus they charge customers a £1.25 utility charge. Don’t businesses offset their utilities against tax, so what’s this charge for, my bills have gone up at home, I can’t ask anyone else to pay for it to increase my income.
Chicken main was tiniest bit of chicken ever, very disappointing. Both meals came with chips, so disappointing when I got home I realised I paid for them as an extra. When I phoned in this mistake. I didn’t get an apology, just advised I could go back for a refund. Add to this man on next table had to go back to bar for being short changed on his drinks round, it’s seems we are not the only ones subject to little mistakes not in the customers favour and lining a pocket.
The tiny chicken and extra charges = bye bye we won’t be back, our meal was same price as we spend in our local Italian restaurant with vibe, party atmosphere, for an entire night out not just the pub...

Read moreWe have been to The New Inn as a spontaneous visit on our way home this afternoon and even though it was very busy, the owner, Ian welcomed us warmly and happily even though we had not booked. We were sat outside with stunning views and were served with drinks and menu's very quickly. The waiting staff were super efficient and very friendly. Drinks came quickly and the first course of food came not very long after. Gorgeous, hot, tasty proper Sunday dinner. The mash was divine, the home made yorkies and roasts were simply delicious and it was all topped off with lovely homemade gravy. The whole meal was scrumptious. My husband even managed to fit the Jam Roly Poly in too and he said that was lovely with homemade custard. What a perfect afternoon! Perfect venue! Perfect food! Perfect service! Thank you we will...
