Tragic, my hearing is 20% at best so the ordering system at the terminals are very useful, unless…..
so I’m order 94 and as per the numbers are going down (up actually ) . I can’t hear at all in the noisy collection area, but I see a young man shouting a number holding a cup. My number isn’t on the board. He shrugs and moves to the next order.
I get it, they are busy, my daughter worked in Mc D’s 15 years. So I approach the desk, and ask “order 94?” Yes he says. You haven’t put it on the board and there should be 2 pastries too. He checks the order goes and gets the pastries.
It’s at this point I open the Christmas “ special “ drink. To see something that resembles many things , except what I ordered. It’s a drink with squirt cream on yes, but I bet trade descriptions would disagree ! Plus, it was in the smaller cup size……
I showed him my receipt so he knows I was order 94.
Now, this hasn’t ruined my day, it was actually my wife’s order who was in the truck. But if anyone from Costa is reading this please ask your staff to
A- put the completed order on the tv,
B- actually have the order completed , 1 out of 3 things ordered and offered. He’d have let me walk away with the 1.
C-put the order in the correct cup.
I did open the lid and look at the drink offered, and said “that looks exactly like the photo” so your nice young man will probably remember me. 8.30 Saturday morning.

We stood in line for 10 minutes waiting to be served. Another 2 or 3 customers were waiting in line behind us.
After waiting for 10 minutes, they stopped serving from the till where everyone was standing and opened the till at the opposite end of the store!
A member of staff then appeared on this end of the counter and shouted "who's next?" We started to make our way over to the other side but this lady started serving people who were at the back of the que. She shouted over to us "well if you're not in the line, you're not going to get served are you?!"
Absolutely shocking attitude! Awful customer service.
Went to McDonals and the member of staff there smiled and said "sorry about the wait. Thank you very much and have a great day"!
Appreciate everyone is busy but there is no need to be argumentative...
