Trafalgar — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

We visited here on a bank holiday Monday after a day at Hednesford raceway, we arrived at 6:30 and my husband order drinks at the bar and enquired about if we ordered food at the bar, only to be told the the kitchen closed at 6pm as they were working to their Sunday hours. Nowhere on the website dies it state what time they serve food until. While we were quickly finishing our drinks so we could go elsewhere we saw food being brought to other tables who I must assume had been waiting almost 45 minutes for their food by this time. Very disappointing experience. Paid for a portion of chips and I received a small bowl with literally 10 chips in. My son’s portion was slightly better but neither of them worth the price for cooked from frozen mass produced fare. Standard of service is poor with lack of attention to detail. The place feels like it is run as a meeting place for the manager’s friends rather than as a business. We booked a table for 2 weeks in a row and both times we were reserved a table that could not accommodate the amount of people we had booked for. No wonder this place is deserted most...

Highly recommended! Treated the nan to some food today we both went for the serloin steak with beef dripping n merlot sauce, absolutely amazing, from well done to med rare both was cooked to perfection, presentation of the food was unreal for the price too! We've already made plan to come back next week with friends! Staff are so helpful and friendly, such a lovely atmosphere created by the regulars and the staff members made us feel at home nothing was to much for them!
