Lovely welcoming staff. Amazing coffee and cake. Me and the family had a lovely morning and will definitely recommend and will return. When ordering I selected a cappuccino and chocolate cake. The staff member made me aware they had other options that hadn’t been put out yet (we arrived early), and listed all options and allowed me to change my mind. I changed to millionaires slice cake. My wife had a flat white, and son had hot chocolate both opted for chocolate cake. We were offered a high-chair for our daughter which was lovely. We were asked if we had been before, and were then told about the book selection. They have a collection of books which children/adults can read while in the cafe, and further books which can be purchased. There was a large repertoire of books which kept both our children entertained. Our coffee and cake was brought to use at our table. My wife is a tricky person to please when it comes to coffee, and she really enjoyed her flat...
Read moreSimply wonderful. Outstanding even, I couldn't recommend this cafe enough. My husband, Frank, and I have recently moved to the Canterbury area and upon a Sunday morning walk we discovered 'Chapters'. Such a quaint and beautiful building with quite lovely decorations, I was greeted promptly by a lovely young lady who was keen to recommend us the perfect combination of white chocolate cake with a cappuccino, just perfect - Exactly what i needed. My husband had a few queries on the array of books on display, the girl who had served us previously was incredibly helpful in recommending him a few brilliant reads, and at £3 a book you simply cannot go wrong. He is thrilled with his findings. We will certainly return soon, absolutely one of the best coffee shops I have visited. Would love to leave a mention to the lovely blonde girl who provided such wonderful service to us - so many thanks Chapters, you...
Read moreI live locally however due to heavy work commitments this was my first visit. There was no parking I waited for 10mins in the hope someone would leave. (It was around 12.30 on Fri) eventually parked on yellow lines. Decided to get a takeaway and support new local buson. Cafe is beautiful, cosy and would have been nice to sit. It was very busy the two staff were very up against it. The only down side was £3.20 for latte in a tiny cup and just warm. The cups used when staying appeared larger. So this was disappointing. Will try and return, if I...
