Only opened yesterday (19/10/20) so there were a few teething problems we noticed, however in a new venture these would be expected. Staff need time to gel and learn their new environment, for example, forgetting the wine glasses, only bringing one rice instead of two, slight errors in the orders (not ours) perhaps at times being a bit too forward in asking if we had finished, when we were having a pause, Indian food needs to be savoured not rushed, however the staff were all very smiley and helpful and willing to rectify any issues, so no biggie. Food was lovely, tasty and plentiful, perhaps not as piping hot as I'd like, but acceptable. This restaurant is literally up the road from my home, so plan on eating here as often as finances allow. So lovely to see the The Dhakar open again as the building has been closed for many years. I wish you great success for the future. Nicely decorated inside too, wish I'd taken a few pictures to show you.

Tried The Dhaka as it had a Sunday special on of : papadum and pickle tray, any starter and any mains plus rice or nana bread for £19.99 per person. We personally was very disappointed. It may have been the dishes we picked, but the food seemed very planned. I have had similar dishes at other restaurants, and they have been much tastier. I also felt very rushed. The waiter came to clear our table before we had finished eating. We were in and out in 45 mins. Also, at the end, the waiter tried to charge us full price at £75.10 instead of the buffet price plus drinks and a couple of extras that came to £54.30.

Ordered a takeaway for 7pm arrived at nearly 8pm. Paid £33 for a disgusting meal for two, burnt paratha, dried up onion bargee, beef balti and lamb Bhuna were disgusting - tough meat. The whole meal went in the bin!

Not the best Indian food I've eaten, but good and decent portions. The food took a long time to come, and drinks were expensive. Waiting staff were obviously primed to try to get you to have poppadoms (80p each). We must have been asked five times before the message finally got through that we didn't want any. Although the restaurant got busier later in the evening, the waiting staff seemed to spend more time chatting together in the bar area than working. Good choice for vegetarians and vegans, as with most Indian restaurants, and the waiter was very helpful, pointing out which items were not vegan. Overall, a good restaurant, but car parking could prove a problem if the place...

Really disappointing tonight guys actually thought it had changed hands .disjointed service staff looked uneasy and uncomfortable.female tried hard to engage temp staff out of comfort zone .original guy tried so hard to be professional friendly and at ease .draught drinks not available no large soft drinks not good two drivers in party small cokes are a un economical and b costly .price is relative to situation but in this climate £100+is not easy to justify at moment .expected same standard as usual.brought guests wouldn't being guests in future it was not up to usual standard in service or cooking we've had better .☹️ Felt for staff they knew it wasn't up...
