Bobbos Fish Bar — Restaurant in Charnwood

We found Bobbos on google by chance whilst searching for chippy that offers vegan options. Based in Sileby, it's a little bit of a trek from where we live (30 minutes each way) however Bobbos is WELL worth the journey. They are a traditional fish and chip shop (serving meat/fish) as well as offering an extensive (and delicious) vegan menu which is prepared and cooked separately to the meat. It is a family run business by Jaz, his wife and their staff and everybody is really welcoming and polite. I ordered a vegan naan which is basically a large naan with vegan "donner" strips served with salad, it is DELICIOUS. I used to eat meat many years ago and the taste is authentic and brilliant. The chips are a good size and are what you would expect from a good chippy. The "vegan" chicken burger is tasty and the vegan "fish", albeit on the small side, tastes brilliant too! Been to Bobos at least once every month over the last year or so and every time the food has been hot and fresh and tastes amazing! The vegan options from here are probably the best locally and the vegan kebab is my favourite for sure! The owners are lovely and always ask how i am and what they can do to improve vegan options as well as give me samples of things they might do in the future :D

I was in the area for work and came to Bobbos for lunch. Great selection for a vegetarian or vegan - vegan 'fish', nuggets, burgers, loads of choices. I had a soy burger (vegan) with cheese and a brioche bun, but there was vegan cheese and a vegan bun available if I wanted them. Friendly staff.
