Date of review: 26/10/25. If i could leave no stars for their takeaway service i would. I havent had pizza hut takaway maybe 4 months as the last one i got for my family was no where near their usual standard. It was luke warm at best and they missed items off my order and the pizza just wasnt nice. On this thursday night just passed i ordered again thinking it may be different. IT WAS HORRID. First off, they changed my soft drink. I ordered 1.5lt and i got 500ml bottle instead. They changed this on my receipt too. Turns out the poor takwaway driver had 5 other orders previous to ours that had the same happen to them. The food was stone cold. The hot honey sauce had leaked through the box and down into the other 2 pizza boxes and all three boxes were covered in it on the outsides too and made everything imcredibly sticky, including my counter top. One of us have a specific dietry requirement which wasnt upheld so that pizza just had to be thrown away and that person didnt get to eat. The other two pizzas were that crap not even half of each pizza was eaten. It was a total waste of money. I spent £42 on a 500ml bottle of pepsi and 3 11inch pizzas with minimal topping and in one case no toppings what so ever. And to top it off, after raising the issue with just eat i got given "credit". On a £42 order they gave me £10. In my opinion, they just dont give a crap about their takeaway service anymore. Like i said, if i could leave a lesser...
Read moreWe ordered from Pizza Hut Thurmaston via a delivery service and overall had a pretty good experience. The deal we went for was great value for money. We received two large pizzas, two starters, two desserts, and a bottle of soft drink. It only cost us £1 more than a very similar order we previously placed from the Melton Road branch, which also included two large pizzas, two starters, and a bottle of soft drink, but no desserts.
What stood out to us was how hot the pizzas were when they arrived. It was clear they had been freshly made and had not been sitting around before being sent out. This also suggests that the delivery service was very reliable. The driver clearly made an effort to get the food to us quickly and in excellent condition. That said, the starters were unfortunately cold when they arrived. We had fries and garlic bread, and both had to be microwaved before we could eat them. This seemed more like an issue from the restaurant side rather than the delivery driver.
As for the desserts, they were okay. Nothing particularly memorable, but for just £1 extra, it was still worth getting them compared to ordering from Melton Road. Overall, we were satisfied and would likely order again from Pizza Hut Thurmaston, especially for the value...
Read moreStopped by Pizza Hut at Thurmaston Shopping Centre in a fleeting moment of nostalgia. Big mistake. Huge.
The restaurant is now fully digital – no cash accepted. I assume this is to stop people trying to get a refund in person after tasting the food. We ordered a pizza deal with salad and ice cream, hoping for a comforting throwback to childhood memories. Instead, we got a masterclass in disappointment.
First, we sat down at a table so sticky it could double as flypaper. I considered eating with my elbows.
Then came the pizzas – or should I say, discs of sadness. Ultra-processed, flavourless, and somehow both soggy and dry. A culinary paradox. The salad was doing its best impression of a wilted houseplant, and the sauces had the complex flavour profile of lukewarm tap water.
The ice cream? Let’s just say it was the highlight – mostly because it meant the ordeal was nearly over.
All in all, it was an expensive journey down memory lane that ended in culinary trauma. I’m no financial expert, but after this meal, I completely understand why Pizza Hut is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.
Would I return? Only if the alternative was chewing my own shoe – and even then, I’d check the sole...
