Staff were friendly and attentive, and it was spacious inside with a nice atmosphere and photos of the pub's long history. The food was very good - tasty and fresh - with choices of pasta, pizza, and burgers although the menu was a bit limited for vegetarians (there were about 4 different dishes but three of them contained falafels). Perhaps this is due to current restrictions. We will definitely go back and try it again!

Three out of the four of us were celebrating our birthdays together - for the end of June and beginning of July - We had the most fabulous night at The Greyhound. The food was absolutely amazing ( we highly recommend the steak, cooked to perfection) All dishes were superbly presented, and the staff were very welcoming and the service was impeccable.Well done to all At the Greyhound. (Booked table,730pm)

Was just passing through with my boyfriend and stopped for a meal. It was the best pub food we have had in a long time. The fish and chips were delicious and cooked so well and the calamari was also very tasty and well presented. The food was of great quality and the wait time was not long at all! The staff were friendly, polite and approachable. Wish I stayed for dessert!

Popped in for lunch on a weekday. Service was nice. We ordered starters and mains. I ordered the chicken and asked that no black pepper be on my food. The waitress came back to say the chicken comes with pre seasoned butter... after a back and forth conversation I asked if the chef could just make a fresh sauce without the pepper... it was only a lemon and garlic butter sauce.

Starters were really good, calamari and prawn cocktail. As the waitress cleared our plates I asked if we could have a little break but was told our mains were already nearly cooked as was started when they bought the starters out! Who wants their mains straight after the starters. Anyway we did get a little break. Chicken sauce just tasted like lemon... would definitely not order again. Partner had steak , mushroom and ale pie... said it was OK but really tomatoey? Strange as was in ale. The Chips and salad on mine were really good but the sauce ruined the chicken. We got told a few times they closed at 3 so didn't get chance to sample desserts as by the time we finished our mains it was 3.04. Would I go again... maybe but would order...

Was having a drink with friend who live in the village, my larger I ordered had a funny after taste and went to the bar to let the girl know, she said she will speak to the landlady, after a few minutes she arrived and just pronounced that there was nothing wrong with the drink, I asked how she would know without trying it, she refused to try it and got quite nasty about it and stated that I had complained about her drinks before, which I had about 12 months before as I meet up with my friends at the pub most sundays, I stated that I'll have another type of drink and would pay for it, she stated that it was going to be on the house and be grateful that your drinking here at all, when I returned to my friend's and was discussing it with them she leaned over the bar and told me to stop talking in her pub about it in front of her customers, very very unprofessional and the impression I felt was that the fact I didn't live in the village I shouldn't be complaining, will never return again, so be careful if your there and dont live in the village,...

Last minute November booking for Boxing Day, no problem getting in. Table for four. Presentation excellent, as were the flavours and ingredients.

However, the meat was very substandard. The Pheasant breast was tough, the fillet steak was not fillet, more like the tough end of a rump and the roast beef had a lot of gristle. the only person who was completely satisfied was the vegetarian among us who had the tart with salad and boiled potatoes.

We ate as much as we could and I had to remove the tough bits of steak from my mouth which was very embarassing and undignified.

Prices were very steep. Would gladly go back even if they put the prices up so they could offer us decent cuts of meat.

Sorry Greyhound we won't be...
