Greggs — Restaurant in Cheltenham

Without a doubt, the weirdest queuing procedure around.

After wanting to go in and take 4 sausage rolls, I enter and find there are none. Thankfully there's a queue so I wait and see that by the time I am halfway down the queue there are some fresh ones that have been added.

When it gets to my turn to be served, there are only 3 left, slightly disappointing but I do the sensible thing and order 3 instead of the 4 I originally intended. Server checks that there are 3 remaining and is about to enter them onto the till when the person behind me in the queue rushes to the front and hurriedly asks for 4 sausage rolls. At which point for some unfathomable reason their order is prioritised and I am asked if I can wait for the next batch, which I haven't seen being placed in the oven at any point during my wait in the queue. For those of you paying attention, my order could be fulfilled, and I have already had to change it so that I am not spending any further time in a cramped store, but the person behind me in the queue can push their order in front of mine even though they would have to wait regardless.

If anyone can explain why someone whose order cannot be fulfilled at the time is allowed to jump the queue and hold up an order that can be fulfilled (And has been modified to ensure it can) please...

Atrocious! Just went to get myself a decaffeinated Xmas latte, the older lady working there rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to give me a cup with two decaffeinated "tea bags" of coffee and a dash of milk. When I asked what it was, I was told "we don't do decaffeinated lattes" and then was charged incorrectly. Covid rules are not enforced, staff are calling customers over who then have to squeeze past other customers and stand right next to each other. Mask wearing is not enforced. Feels so dangerous, certainly not worth a rubbish cup of "coffee". Which, I...

Gregg's... yum... it is the usual recipe for Gregg's. This store cooks its food to perfection.

For those that dont use this chain normally... the prices are pretty cheap considering.
