My friend and I meet up regularly for a curry and catch up and decided to visit here for the first time on Tuesday 02/04/2024. We booked a table for 6pm as previous reviews suggested it might be busy but on arrival we were the only eat in diners, but better to be safe than sorry. We received a warm welcome and after seated we ordered 2 poppadoms each and a bottle each of Kingfisher lager. All good so far, crispy poppadoms and refreshing lager. We were asked if we were ready to order and the waiter made some really good suggestions which we decided to go for. Lamb Laal Maas and Achari chicken, mushroom rice, garlic naan. The lamb dish was madras spice strength and the Achari chicken slightly less, the two dishes together complimented each other really nicely. Both were hot on arrival, we shared the rice and naan and there was ample food for two people. Well, we both agreed this was by far one of the nicest meals we’d had. The lamb meat itself was sublime. The chicken was delicious. The curry sauce in each dish, really really good. The naan bread, again was really good. We were checked upon regularly by the staff and made sure everything was ok. The total bill came to around £50 which we felt was fantastic value considering the standard of food, the service and portion size. Needless to say we left a generous tip and will definitely return. Do not worry about the negative reviews, they must have been very unlucky. The food from this place is amazing coupled with excellent service, all at such a reasonable price. We’d definitely...

I opted to pick up my order which gave me 20% discount. When walking in to pick up my take away I cannot deny how beautiful and romantic the restaurant area looked. Whilst paying for my order the worker explained to me that they have a collection of expensive wines and they have spent some time making sure they order top notch wine. I don't know much about wine but it looked pretty fancy and not the typical stuff you would find in a local supermarket. Because it was my first order I also got some complimentary poppadoms with a yoghurt mango mint dip. I ordered a chicken jalfrezi with a cheesy nan. The food honestly tasted fresh including the nan bread. The experience of eating the food was so good I wanted to re live the experience again. This is now going to become my go to for any curry. The staff were so friendly and kind. I would also love to give the dine in experience a go since it really does look so nice. Also this is type of curry house if you like your curry spicy hot it will be HOT. Will be most certainly coming back again. They also have...

I ordered food for collection last night, and it was delicious. The menu is quite extensive, ordering by phone was quick and easy, the food was ready at the time they said it would be (30 minutes after I phoned – ideal!), and they were very friendly too. We ordered plenty of food and have leftovers that I’m looking forward to taking down tonight. The main curries were delicious, but the veg sides were amazing too. They got all the small details right too: the salads and pickles that came with the poppadoms were fresh, and the rice was good. A great meal at a really good price (especially after the 20% collection discount).

EDIT: It's also really nice inside if you want to eat in; not too many tables and a...

Found this resteraunt on google maps, and was not disappointed! Situated on a street surrounded by houses, this is a very popular curry house with the locals to eat in or order take away. Lovely staff, well stocked bar all beers are bottled (no draft) but a good choice of Cobra, Kingfisher and others. The menu is varied and tasted excellent, started off with popadoms with lime pickle, onions, chutney, the Prawn Puree for starters was nice and just spicy enough with a chappatti to mop it up with, the mains was lovely with the pilau rice and a Cobra beer to drink. The nice touch was a complimemtary Bailys after.

Staying in the area for a few days and came across this little place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble. Decided to order something different than our usual take away, we wasn't disappointed, starter and main was delicious and so full of flavour. Couldn't fit in a dessert, we were full. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

Food was delicious. The vegetable rice was really great and a good mix of vegetables to. Korma and tikka masala were both delicious and the keema naan was lovely and soft. Thanks Indian Cottage we will definitely order again.
