Best roast meal I've had in a pub. Went for the Nut Roast - delicious. They also brought out plenty of extra gravy (really good), potatoes, veg, cauliflower cheese and condiments. Huge fluffy Yorkshire puddings and the crispy parsnips were amazing. (Hadn't finished loading up plate when the pic was taken.) Can't wait to do it all over again soon. Great value.

Went for food with a friend and ordered the tomohawk steak from their specials board and it was the most amazing steak I’ve ever had. Service was fantastic as always and eating food in their large and well looked after beer garden was just wonderful. Will definitely continue to return for both food and drinks.

We were treated to the most excellent wedding reception, above all expectations, and they were high! The food was first class, the service by the staff, Ron, Kate, Zoe and James (apologies if I missed anyone) was as good as anyone could wish for. A totally wonderful day! Thank you

So about 4 years ago I was heading home on the motorbike and hit a pot hole, it burst my back tire and I pulled over. Phone nearly dead I walked into this pub, they looked after me so well, charged my phone warmed me up with their fire and I relaxed whilst awaiting recovery. Now I stop by every week to have a beer and say hello to the locals who are always so welcoming and friendly. Such a great staffing team and I’m happy to help with my contribution each week to keep them going. Truly is hard to find people and service like this, keep going Ronny and team it’s a beautiful place you’ve created and the food and drinks...

You can see the owners have put a lot of time into making this place what it is, we only saw the garden, which included an outside bar, play area and sheltered tables.

The menu could have had more mains, but I suspect they have aimed for fewer, higher quality meals.

Each of us had something different, in which we all stated we loved what we had.

I will definitely be returning, if there was at least a couple of specials (maybe there are and I missed them) then this would have...

Great little pub, good beer, friendly staff. I love my burgers and this didn’t disappoint. Homemade burger with good drip, tasty bacon and cheese, with lovely chunky pub chips. My wife also had a burger but asked for it without bun as she doesn’t eat bread. Most pubs normally just plonk it on the plate but the wheatsheaf delivered it on a bed of salad which was great. Points for a decent serving of...
