Aviation Station Cafe — Restaurant in Cherwell District

The food is very good, but the prices are astronomical, hence only three stars. Usually only one person serving on the counter, who constantly leave to make coffees, making the average wait to be served considerable. More staff on service and more reasonable prices, especially on breakfast items, would attract much more business.

An update to this review as of today. Waited in line with the other customers for ten minutes while we attempted to find someone to serve us. Cafe was empty, including staff. Not a surprise. After finding someone, was told that the food (a bacon baguette) would be 20-25 minutes, as the bread had to baked. This was at 10am. Prime breakfast time. The service is abysmal and obviously the cafe is only interested in the catering part of the business, not providing a fast, convenient service to walk in customers. Whilst it’s website and signage says ‘Welcome to all’, this is basically the Airport’s canteen. We only found which car park we were allowed in after being stopped by a rather stroppy security guard whose mate just scowled at us from their 4x4 (I wasn’t anywhere where I wasn’t allowed to be for info).
