Visited with family for the first time for a birthday celebration meal, we were a table of 5. The building is lovely however the ceilings and doors are quite low and my tall brother had to keep an eye out. Thankfully I'm petite so this wasn't an issue for me. As we had pre booked we were seated quickly and were the only table in the restaurant for a while. Our waitress was very friendly. We all opted for burgers except my mum who had the lamb.

We waited around half an hour for our food but when it arrived it was clear that everything is cooked fresh to order. Food was not exactly hot but was served at a fairly acceptable temperatre. The chips were nice. Our waitress did a check back and we were happy as no issues with how the food was cooked. It was only when I started my burger after eating my chips that I realised I was given the wrong burger. I ordered the Texas burger and was given the Swedish burger (I think, the one with pastrami and Swiss cheese). Our waitress was not around and I couldn't find her. As this would have likely been my second choice of meal I decided to just carry on and eat it, as by the time our waitress reappeared everyone was finished and would likely have been waiting a while for a replacement burger as a couple of other tables were seated and waiting for food at this point. We decided not to stay for desserts or coffee.

All in all, we said would go back here again for food and drinks but there are other places we would likely...

Hi, My daughter and I wanted to have lunch, somewhere different to all of the local places we have been going to fairly regularly over recent years. At first I was dubious, but I shouldn't have been, as the menu looked interesting and so it proved to be. A warm country style decor and the welcoming staff was so nice. It was a Saturday and they were not busy at 1.30 so it was quiet, apart from the occasional yap of a friendly dog. Our lunch was, well, a lovely surprise to see a beautifully presented Sea Bass for my self, and my daughter, a vegan, had the best Vg vegy tart she has ever tasted. Our meals were excellent, tasty any most enjoyable, and for what we had, not expensive ! Thank you Barleycorn ! We will be...

When myself and a friend arrived for our first meal after lockdown, there where a group of men they were very load and seemed to be drunk, we were moved to the tea room instead of the restaurant because of the noise, they even told us there were with us which I in formed then we wasent, the meal was very nice ,but we couldn't her our selfs talk , when I went to use the toilet restaurant tables we full of glasses ,if anyone booked in the restaurant couldnt have sat there I did say to the waitress how load they were and her reply was she had told the several times to keep the noise down, but it made no difference , we left early as couldn't stand the noise and went some where else ...

Menu was very limited for a Friday evening. The Garlic bread starter was two slices of toasted white sliced bread with garlic butter!! The main course took over a hour to serve. The pub did not seem too busy. The fish and chip main meal was okay but very salty which is not to my taste. The food did not look like the posted reviews. I have since noted the most positive reviews are 5 years ago!! I would not recommend this pub. P.S. the final bill also included £20 for medium glass of Merlot red wine. The menu price for a bottle. !!

Uhm yeah, do not go here. It was not till I nearly finished my pint I till noticed a ton of dust at the bottom of the glass. The beer did taste very weird, I have a feeling they do not clean their lines very often. Very grim atmosphere with the type of people that visit this pub. First and last time I will go to this pub. Best thing to do is just walk past this pub and not even look at it. Again, do not set foot in this pub.

Omg an amazing place! The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food was amazing. The mug of tea came out in a cute flower pot mug and a spade as a tea spoon 😍 The pub is fresh and modern but not out of keeping from its past. I would love to come here again and try something else from the menu.
