Our first venture in since the new menu was introduced. A warm welcome from Brian who showed us to our table put us at our ease. He explained she that would be over to take our drinks order, and Sophie would be looking after us throughout our meal. we have a difficult time choosing from the menu as it had all our favourites. We picked the creamy mushrooms and the duck and orange pâté for our starters. I was going to have a roast, as it sounded delicious, but I was tempted away by the sharing platter of prawns, sticky chicken, lamb koftas with humus, tzatziki and flatbread. The food duly arrived, beautifully presented with pretty edible flowers. The pâté was smooth and tasty, and the toasted bread with it was delicious. The button mushrooms were in a rich creamy buttery sauce on a slice of toast. Main courses were a triumph, brought to the table by Tom, a very pleasant young man : roast sirloin of beef, a trio with beef pork and turkey accompanied by all the trimmings, and my mixed platter.Every single element was perfect from Yorkshire puddings and bacon-wrapped stuffing, to the al dente broccoli, French beans, roasted parsnips carrots and potatoes, and cauliflower cheese. All irresistible and cooked to perfection, compliments to Joe, the chef. We had a breather with a coffee, then forced ourselves to choose a pudding, a tricky task as they were all so tempting, and we plumped for strawberry trifle ( with extra custard and raspberry sorbet - I loved Sophie, she didn’t say no to anything! ) double chocolate brownie, and the phenomenal mango pavlova, the prettiest dessert I’d ever seen. Happily they all exceeded our expectations with their tastes and flavours. The pink and white swirled meringue in the pavlova was flavoured with a zingy fruity flavour which was a delicious surprise to me, and the best meringue I’ve ever had. Overall, we were delighted with our visit, and we’ve rebooked for next week already.

Absolutely lovely location and the period building is beautiful, plenty of parking, we were served by a lady called Sheila and she was really good with the kids, attentive, polite and really helpful with everything including the tablet which held the gluten free menu. There was plenty of variety including a soup and pie of the day. We were a party of 7 with 4 children with ages ranging from 7 to 14 and three adults, the kids Menu had something to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. Our 14 year old said the stone baked margarita pizza was the best she's had, I had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection. My husband and aunt had the gluten free fish and chips and the chips are Chunky! They said the fish was delicious. We had a variety of desserts my husband had the banoffee chox bun and to say he enjoyed it woul be an understatement. I had the trio of ice cream/sorbet... Chocolate, vanilla and blackberry... What a combo! The blackberry tasted like vimto :p sticky toffee pudding was light and bouncy, the pavlova was huge!

Such a lovely pub! Stopped here on our way back from Fishbourne for drinks and a bite to eat...and very glad that we did. We were acknowledged and greeted as soon as we came through the door and chose to sit outside as the weather was warm and sunny. It wasn't busy on a Monday lunchtime so finding a table was easy. Pleasant garden area, probably the only slightly negative thing is that the pub is on a main road, but everything else was just lovely. Friendly attentive staff. We ordered a couple of starters, a soft drink and a fabulous cocktail. Smoked mackerel paté and duck and orange parfait, both with sourdough toast, were duly served. The food was very nicely presented and very tasty. I can definitely recommend the passion fruit martini too! The menu has a great deal to offer and is definitely a few steps up from standard pub grub, so we'll be back for dinner soon.

Called in to make a booking and had good service , booked for Saturday evening for two. 1 hour before setting off i received a text asking if we had any allergies, great idea , but message unable to send , when we arrived i was told this never works , so what is the point of asking in the first place . We we given 2 sheets of paper with the menu , very poor as the writing was so small and the lighting at the table not working with bulbs broken it was difficult to read what was written . Service was very good , we had drinks and ordered the starters and they soon arrived . I had pate which was 1 piece of a french loaf and a small piece of pate and the odd gherkins , it looked good and tasted good but was very small and overpriced . My partner had the Prawns again a little disappointing, Main course , Pork belly my partner gave 9 out of 10 it was beautifully presented , i had the veg curry, this was very tasty but the portion size was small and for the cost disappointing. We both enjoyed the main and tried the desserts , not sure if these were made on the premises but appeared to be bought in . My partner had the fruit pavlova only shame was there was no fruit in it . Overall i rate it as a good evening with room for improvements, yes we enjoyed the food and the service, If these suggestions are taken on board i am sure i will give a better review next time . Rating 7 out of 10 ....

The Bosham Inn was extremely busy while we were there but we were shown to our reserved table very quickly - we were in the bar area, as we had booked a table with a dog - and someone arrived to take our drinks order soon after that. The drinks were quite slow to arrive but it was a busy day and we were chatting! The ambiance of the Inn was very pleasant, light and warm with lovely decor and furnishing. The only downside were the acoustics; because it was so busy the noise levels were high and it was difficult to hear each other. When our food orders were taken, unfortunately the roast had run out for two of our party (the same choice) but because it was a Sunday lunch it was a little disappointing, however there were a few choices for the roasts so it was fine. The food was absolutely delicious, just perfect for all. We were asked about and brought sauces and extra gravy when requested. The desserts were fabulous too, beautifully presented, and all the courses were served on lovely crockery. It took quite a while for the bill to arrive - but that’s better in my opinion, than arriving too quickly! The service, although perfectly adequate, was lacklustre in friendliness and warmth, it was obvious that everyone was busy but it only takes seconds to smile and be pleasant. The goodbye message - hope to see you again soon, something like that - was so perfunctory as to be insincere and not...
