We went to harvester in Buckshaw village Chorley to have a nice relaxing family meal we was waited on by Jaz. The starters where edible we had the potato skins which where burnt, the nachos which had to be sent back and then the vegan nachos, as a table we had barely put the last mouthful of food in our mouths when Gemma the manager on shift I’m assuming dumped our mains down infront of us and walked away not saying what they where. We had two bird, surf and turfs and one simple chicken.
She then came back with the last of the food and again walked away. None of the starter plates had been cleared we had to stack them up our selfs so they where out the way! After a solid 10 minutes of staff walking past I myself got up and cleared our table so we could actually move and eat comfortably. The mains where no better it was simple freezer food the chicken was just covered in Cajun spices to hide the fact it was from farmfoods freezer section and the steaks tasted like they had only just been defrosted and thrown on the grill. On the simple chicken the veg was practically still frozen and cold whilst the jacket potato might as well have still been in the ground it was that under cooked.
We would have had better chance contacting my Nan than we would have had trying to get the attention of someone working their. The check back was then only done after we had all finished. By finished I mean pushed the food round our plates and had a slight nibble of it before turning it away. The customer service was shocking and the...
Read moreMy wife, my baby daughter and myeslf were welcomed by Nikki who served us all morning. We notified her straight away about my daughters allergies and because it was quiet we were directed to a quiet part of the restaurant away from everyone else. She was very attentive and was good with our baby daughter. Our daughter has a milk and peanut allergy. It's the first time we have taken her out for a meal due to reported cases in other establishments which have made national news. We explained the allergies to Nikki, who bought us a tablet which contains all allergens on the menu. You just select the allergies which apply and all safe items are shown. Nikki also recommended an app, called Glass Onion, which has the Harvester menu meaning we can precheck items before arriving but the tablet would still be supplied again to chose food items with the most up to date menu. My daughter's food was bought out separately from our menu to reduce cross contamination. Both Nikki and another colleague (I belive she may have been the manager) came twice whilst we ate our meal to ensure everything was fine. Due to both of their great customer service, we were given confidence that we can take our daughter out for a meal even though she has both a milk and...
Read moreWe visited on the 6/10/2024. All four of us ordered meals, rotisserie chicken, chicken skewers, cheeseburger. However only 3 meals arrived at our table, when we questioned where the other meal was, they said it hadn't shown up on the kitchens screen. We were very disappointed in this as we had to then wait for that meal to be cooked so that we could all eat together for my birthday. The lady who put our food order through came up to the table and appologised. However she doubled up the cheeseburger as good will (which we did not want as we only wanted a single cheese burger, so this was wasted) and also gave us 4 free refill drinks. However we had already paid for our drinks, if which 2 were already refills. So this was also a waste. When we paid, we let her know that the glasses hadn't been used as we already had refills and drinks. To which she stated, "oh I didn't notice that." We had a terrible experience and I feel like considering we spent a lot of money here that we were let down and the issue was not properly resolved as we did not benefit from anything that was given to us in that meal. Our food was cold by the time the other meal arrived and my birthday felt ruined because of...
