Went in after booking a table of six, Our waitress was nice and tuck our order. The drinks came we noticed one of the bitter beers was cloudy, thinking it was cold we left it. My grandparents who only drinks beer, had one sip and had to keep his stomach in place as the beer had obviously gone sour. We called the waiter of who tuck it away. We where expecting just a swap of the beer and to carry on with our afternoon and drinks, however, The manager came over and said to us: " I have had three other people taste the beer and all of them said its fine" Not what we were expecting, we didn't really have an answer as he continued to point to the people who had been apparently been drinking it all afternoon as he continued to say it was fine. Having studied business and having worked in customer service all my life I wasn't very happy wih the manager walking over and being so arrogant about a situation that could have been handled very easly with just a quick swap of beer. I then said that if it was going to be an issue we can take our evening somewhere else. The manager then said that the food was already being cooked so that it wouldn't be possible and if we did leave we would have to pay for everthing, adding a very smug face and not wanting to get of his high horse we left the building paying for our drinks including the sour, gone off, cloudy beer (Ā£25) I can only hope this place comes under new management soon as this obviously inadequate man has no sense of business or customer service....

There is plenty of outdoor seating although we decided to sit inside which provides even more seating even with socially distanced tables.
The menu was just the right size and provided options for all diets. I had the fish and chips and it was alright but nothing special.
The live music was great and I really enjoyed it although it was very loud which meant conversation was off the table once the set started.
In conclusion, an alright pub with decent parking and seating indoors and outside. The food is alright but nothing to write home about and the live music while great can get in the way of an...
Read moreSo unassuming place. First time (tbh it was about 3rd or 4th time in a long while) left me with a impression like it's a good place for a pint but not food. Today my partner decided that he needed a roast on a way back. We stopped over and have been so pleasantly surprised. 2 for £25 were homecooked and plentiful. No fireworks, but that's exactly what was needed on this horrible day. Beef was lovely and soft, yorkies were homemade and very tasty, roasties were just like grandma's. Some would find broccoli undercooked but for us they were perfect. Really enjoyable roast, we will be back. Oh and it's dog friendly,...
