Before I start, the orange coloured meal is to die for! Lobster ravioli. It was just wow! We have visited this restaurant twice now and both times we weren't disappointed. The staff are so lovely, polite, helpful! I couldn't fault them. Also the 2nd time we visited it was someones birthday and the staff sang happy birthday and boy do they have amazing voices!! Was so lovely to hear. Everybody clapped afterwards. It's a friendly and warm atmosphere. Nice seating and they have a wine cabinet that will just make you jealous. It is so pretty!! Finally, the most important part, the food! I couldn't fault it! Delicious!! We will definitely be visiting again and anyone reading this, I recommend you visit! I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Not just an amazing restaurant but a memorable experience. Perfect evening at Luciano’s tonight celebrating my wife’s Birthday. Maurizio is the perfect host with the rest of the house team providing a real authentic Traditional Italian family atmosphere. Each team member made our visit (and all the other guests by what we could see) feel special. The kitchen team dished up food that was absolutely flawless, both in taste and presentation. If you’ve ever been to Italy then you will know that they live for their children, they took care of our daughters making them feel just as important patrons as us paying the tab. Thank you again and we will be back soon forsure!

I’ve been to the Luciano’s at Chorley before and that was just lovely, perfect atmosphere and attentive friendly staff. Here at the Millstone it felt disjointed as it’s an older property, and the staff forgot a drink, the music was so loud whilst waiting in the bar area, but they did turn it down on request. I can’t say the staff weren’t friendly, but it wouldn’t be my choice of Luciano’s to visit again. My friend still thinks this is the best one of the three though. Food was nice, and the cocktail I had was up to standard too. I think if some of the newer staff were trained up a little more then it would be worth another visit.

Overall a mixed but poor bag of results sadly.

Pros: Whoever was preparing the food in the kitchen was on point the food was well cooked and portion sizes were okay overall. The menu had decent variety which was also nice to see. The building and venue is nice and well designed and theres a suprisingly good bar selection

thats sadly all the positives I could find however, and for the cons some are small but some are substantial to say the least

Cons: doesnt seem to be a set plan for staff and this meant multiple different staffwere asking us the same questions over and over, or we were being ignore all together when we needed something as there were no staff present we were never asked about water and when we requested it it never appeared, neither did our other drinks that we asked for at the same time. I was sent the incorrect drink 3 times and when i expressed my frustration at continually being sent the incorrect order for a 3rd time i got a rather rude response from the waitress, who rather forcefully expressed "but I didnt take the order did I?" - and she is correct, and i think the fact that completely different members of staff are seemingly doing everything was an issue. significantly bigger issues being that we were NEVER asked about allergies or dietary requirements which is a huge problem that shouldnt need explaining

There were other smaller issues like bathroom locks on doors not being present, and our cutlery just being dumped on top of the cutlery i currently had, not replacing the napkin that they removed from the table etc.

so overall not very impressed and definitely didnt deserve the 10% service charge they added on to the bill

doubtful we will return or reccomend...

A beautiful restaurant - very clean, smart and comfortable. The place is decorated well and as you enter it gives you a feeling of 'wanting to be there'. All of the staff encountered were very warm and welcoming. They did their jobs with pride and this adds to the lovely atmosphere that has been created. It was a Thursday evening when I went and early, yet it felt more like a weekend with lots of diners and quite a buzz. It was a lovely relaxing meal. The service was excellent without being intrusive. It well deserved the 10% charge added to the bill. However, I am not a supporter of this idea of a restaurant adding a service charge - discretionary or not. I tip if I think I have received excellent all round service not for people doing their job. That is the function of the restaurant. I don't tip at McDonalds or in the supermarket or on an aeroplane but I get good service nonetheless. Restaurants are not a special case and certainly should never add a discretionary tip to the bill. That's my opinion anyway. The food was OK. My starter was hummus - there was plenty and there was a selection of three all of which were delicious. Main course was salmon with pistachio - this was only mediocre. Again, there was plenty of food but the salmon was fairly tasteless and bland and only was helped slightly by the sauce. It was cooked very well however.

The prices were fair based on the menu and the staff and the venue and I would certainly eat there again. I would just not...

Went Fri 26th Oct arrived they couldn't find our booking. Eventually said will take you to your table. We had specifically booked a booth for our Anniversary but didn't get one. We come every year.Ordered 2 mains a fillet steak and a rib eye wasn't asked how I would like mine cooking so had to say. My rib eye was so fatty every bite was chewy a waiter (with glasses blac hair)came eventually and asked if everything okay I told him and showed him he apologised and asked if I would like another I said no as my husband halfway through his already and I would still have to wait for another to be cooked by which time I would be saying alone. He apologised again. The next waiter (tall slim good looking)who came to take our plates asked again so I told him and showed him to which he replied "if you don't tell us at the time there is nothing we can do about it" implying it was my fault! Told him I had and he just shrugged his shoulders . About 10 mins later he through a sweet menu down in front of my husband from behind without uttering a word. The lady who was on reception was very apologetic and her attitude was very nice but we only got a garlic bread knocked off and a portion of chips (which incidentally my husband had asked for instead of veg) which is hardly the price of a rib eye steak!! Why not knock the price of the steak off. For the rudeness of the second waiter won't be...
