Kumpir Kitchen — Restaurant in Colchester

Just tried out this lovely place, the food options were great and when it was served up, it was absolutely delicious- I’m often quite a fussy eater but today I found a new regular place to eat. The service was great with everyone chatting and asking how your day was, all with a smile and warmth that felt like they were genuinely pleased to welcome you. The atmosphere inside was lovely and pleasant, it’s bright and comfortable, I really couldn’t say anything negative about it at all, already looking forward to going back there and trying some of the other menu.

Wonderful place. Lovely service and absolutely delicious food! You have to try the Kumpir jacket potato (which you can customise to your liking- so full of flavour) and Sütlaç (traditional Turkish rice pudding- it’s the most flavourful and creamiest rice pudding I’ve ever had)! A must try, if you have had kumpir in Istanbul before you already know, if you haven't then get the 9 toppings and try a little of everything authentic flavours and brilliant service next time I am down im getting another one for sure and if you expand bring one up north for me also the Turkish rice pudding...
