McDonald's — Restaurant in Colchester

Ok ,so here we go again ! We are local too and regular customers of this branch of McDonalds ,however this doesnt seem to mean you get treated well ,in fact your treated with some sort of discontent! So my husband as usual went off to purchase from the drive through for our 7 year old Autistic Daughter who suffers severe CVS and suffers extreme nausea and most of time is pump fed via peg .Her Drs said whatever she wants to eat she can have as it's more important she can eat something . But there always seems to be an issue towards us from this branch .I hope they can see why we need to use them and try to be considerate who the food is for in future ! To be fair My husband just called tonight & for the first time we got a decent manager on the phone who was considerate (13/02/22 @ 9.10pm ) so thank you to you whoever you are .We dont want credits in the book or freebies, all we want is to be treated politely and given hot food in the quantities we ask for ,Basically what McDonald's advertise as a standard . As moany as this review may sound ,when you have a child that cannot enjoy or eat much food ,then you want what she eats to be good ,she spends alot of time in and out of hospitals on drips and takes alot of meds to try and ease her condition . It was a horrible experience, and I will never go back again!

Rude, disorganised, and unhelpful!!

The main board didn't display my order, and I only noticed when I collected the food, a milkshake was missing. The person taking the order left the conversation to help someone else twice, so not surprised there was confusion.

I asked if I could pay and get it with my meal. Told N, have to go around again. Due to their incompetence, it took 24 minutes to go round again, yet only about 6 cars infront of me. Explained I wasn't happy, as my meal was no longer hot. Said I could get the meal redone if I waited, but wouldn't give me the free shake I suggested. The person who I collected the meal from was taking other people's cards round, so obviously lots of mistakes, but wouldn't do it for me.

When I collected my shake, to go with my cold meal, she saw I was unhappy and laughed at me.... I could not believe it.

No one helped resolve their mistake and just compounded it and laughed about...

Navigated to this McDonald's specifically as we were on a long journey and the kids were in need of a run around, and we knew this one had a good McPlayland thingy. The playground had a sign on it saying open 10-4 but it was locked up (it was 3)

Asked a McLad to open it up and he (Steve) said he'd have to give it a quick safety check but then would open it straight up for us. The kids were clawing at the doors of the thing and salivating over the curly slide by this point.

Then McSteve comes back and says management McLisa says they wouldnt open it BECAUSE IT WAS TOO COLD. Car said 4 degrees. I told McSteve not to worry the kids had their big coats on but he just said he was McSorry there was nothing he could McDo for us.

Insult to injury the diet coke was poorly tuned (too much syrup not enough gas) and I had to go back and ask for ice.
