Panda Full House — Restaurant in Colchester

Ordered from here tonight for delivery, I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever attempted to eat in my life. I say “attempted to eat’ because that’s all you could do, no amounts of chewing would actually break down the fibres of this completely dry meat that I was served today.. Absolutely shocking!!! I phoned the restaurant to explain about the food and welcomed them to come and collect it because I knew if they could taste what I tasted, they would also agree that this is the driest food and their standards should be a lot higher!!! The restaurant did offer to replace the chicken balls and the spare rib, but why should I work hard to pay out for substandard food? It’s really not on and it’s not fair. I won’t be ordering from here again. The person I spoke to said the food should be crispy as they didn’t want to serve raw chicken! There’s a difference between crispy and cremated. This food actually tasted like it was all pre-cooked and then re-cooked a few more times It’s such a shame as I’ve ordered from here quite a few times before. Terrible experience ordering from here. Ordered my food for delivery at 7.00pm. Rang the restaurant an hour after I had placed my order as it still had not arrived, and was told it was out for delivery. Another 30 minutes pass and still nothing so we rang back just to be lied to and told it was sent out 10 minutes ago (even tho half an hour ago it was just sent ojt too) said the same thing, my husband reminded them of our previous phone call and that he has told us the same thing all we got was “oh have you still not received your order” absolute joke! After waiting 2hours 30 minutes and absolutely starving we rang back for a third time and cancelled our order. I have no idea what happened, our order was clearly placed and supposedly out for delivery for an hour and a half even tho we live 10 minutes from the restaurant!!! Absolutely blown away by this Hong Kong Chinese takeaway!!

The sweet and sour chicken was perfectly balanced, the crispy beef had just the right crunch, and the fried rice was packed with smoky wok hei that you can only get from real skill!

The portion sizes were incredible – enough to satisfy a big appetite and still have leftovers to look forward to….
