Seaview Beach Diner — Restaurant in Colchester

Ordered at 1.30pm, large tea, sausage roll, and large portion of chips. Told order number was 77. Girl came outside 2 mins later saying "tea?" No number. 5 mins later, another girl came out and said, "Sausage Roll?" Again, no order number. Mentioned there was also a large portion of chips to come with it. Waited 20 mins before another order was served, so I went in to find out why my order was not completed and coming out in stages, not all together. At 2 p.m., having taken a new order, proceeded to go into the kitchen area, and 10 mins later, I was able to ask why chips were not received. Apologised, saying on way. Ordered sausage roll, chips and a tea. The tea came first then after a further wait the sausage roll, which was very nice. When the sausage roll was served, we mentioned we had ordered chips. However, it took over a further half an hour for one portion of chips to be served, we think they had forgotten about us. Terrible service. Appreciate it was busy however to que up for 15 mins to then wait 45 mins to be told that they have COMPLETLY lost your order isn't on at all we are talking about 2 sausage and chips not a slow roast lamb. Got a refund at this point. The old ginger lady here lied and tried to play it that someone had taken my food but there was no way this was the case as I was listening out for every number since my order.
