We've been here before The food is amazing, so tasty & very very good. Nigel had the ploughman's again, it was HUGE !! Selection of cheeses, pickles, gorgeous ham, boiled eggs, jams, beetroot, pickled onions, little tomatoes, bread & butter was beautiful. I had ham, eggs & chips. Again beautiful ham hand cut from the bone, 2 fresh eggs from the farm, air fried chips it was delicious. We had tea & Bob the owner refilled the teapot with hot water. The food is all homemade, the quiche is lush, the specials was homemade sweet & sour, homemade huge fish fingers, chips & peas. They do homemade cakes, scones etc. We brought 2 scones home with us & they are massive !! They do everything by hand, the waitress even made the salad dressing to order so it was as fresh as a daisy. I can't recommend Decades enough, Bob the owner/chef is really friendly, has a great sense of humour & will do anything for his customers. The waitress is a marvel & she makes everything to order so it's really fresh.
It's well worth the money & we really enjoy it every time we visit here.

Couple of minutes later he came to our table to tell my boy off while he was eating, for eating a sausage roll off a napkin instead of the plate
.... and unnecessarily continued the abuse us, including to waste time to tell us we are banned - when of course we aren't coming back!
For his reference:
Some people have hidden conditions and they have to eat straight away as soon as they see their food e.g. Diabetes
They also clean up their crumbs if they are allowed to eat in peace.
Being disturbed while eating is a significant health risk to many people; doing this is abuse, harassment and it is an offense.
A display of active disregard towards certain people such as less able people, guests who are coping with disability is a disgusting aggravating...
Read moreCan't comment on the food we never got that far. Wasn't sure of the protocol as we had never been before. Three employees inside and no customers and we were told to take a seat and someone would come and take our order. After 10 minutes I went inside and asked if I could give my order. I was told to go back to my table and someone would take my order. I replied politely that is what I was told 10 minutes ago. Instead of a sorry we are really busy and will get to you shortly I got followed back to the table and told very sternly by a gentleman that he was a servant but not a slave! At that point we got up and left and went further down the road to the cafe in Lower Clapton for tea and sandwiches and they were clearly interested...
