I had a terrible customer service experience at the cafe when visiting with friends for lunch and purchasing three adult meals. A very rude member of staff said I could not feed my 7 month old the puree I brought from home while I was part way through his lunch. They have a policy of not allowing you to consume food that was not purchased from the cafe on their premises, and this applies to young babies. They do not differentiate between the very different needs of a newly weaning baby and children. I have since been told they have pouches you can buy in the cafe but this was not communicated while I was there and if you are not willing to feed these to your baby you will not be welcome. Why not five stars? Two things.
The portions were small. A single rasher of bacon? Really? It's not a cheap breakfast, two rashers a few more mushrooms would be right.
Decor. It's clean and fresh but a little soulless. It felt a bit like a nursery. Plastic table cloths and basically plain walls and an open and empty feel. It needs some textiles, some plants, some warmth and personality.
